Alabama state recruiting this year.

Well, get ready. By February Bama fans will be bragging about winning the recruiting battle in the state, each recruit that signs with UAT will gain a star, and the Crimson nation will talk about how they're going to win national titles with just at-home talent.

Meanwhile, CTT will be picking and choosing top recruits from AL, GA, FL, and further away and continue to beat Bama on the field.

[To be fair, Shula has reached out of state some, but not like CTT. But I still hear the Tide faithful talking about how all they need to be champions are in-state boys who want to play their hearts out for the Tide because of its "tradition".]

Has anyone else noticed the relatively low rankings for the recruits within the state of Alabama?

Not a Five Star in the Bunch. Way too many Three Stars.

Is it just me or is this a "slight" down year this year?

That is interesting. I remember reading somewhere that Freeman was big into body building. He definitely earned the nickname "Bull."

Not star-laden, but deep. At any rate, McNeil is someone that could rocket up to five-star status witha good senior campaign, and Murphy may be a 5-star type player, but I hear he has some sort of academic issue, and that will likely keep him away from 5-star status.

Maybe he can follow in the footsteps of the LB who was the pound-for-pound strongest man on the team for the past few years (War Damn Travis Williams)

The Schurburtt? factor on Rivals: If bama signs them, They will gain a star within 24 hours. If Auburn or UT Sign them they will lose a star immediately after committing.

Carnell Williams back in 2001. Lost 1 oer two stars the day we signed him. Last year you could not name them all. Rivals almost went TIMeltdown the day all of our recruits were down graded by Schurburtt(?).
