Angry man jumps from third floor

TUSCALOOSA | A man was injured late Thursday night when he reportedly jumped off a third-floor apartment balcony in the 300 block of Grace Street.

Lt. Steven Anderson, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said a group of people were socializing in front of a third-floor apartment at Prides Court apartments about 11:53 p.m. when William Harring, 22, yelled at the group from another building in the complex to be quiet.

After yelling several times, Harring walked over to the group and continued to yell at them, Anderson said.

“All the witnesses stated that after Harring stopped yelling at them, he grabbed the rail and jumped from the third floor to the ground," Anderson said. “They said he smelled like he was intoxicated."

Harring was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where Friday afternoon he was listed in good condition noon, said a DCH nursing supervisor.

Anderson said it’s unclear why Harring jumped.

DCH Regional Medical Center might want to look into expanding their ER staff and facilities before the Thumb comes down in November! :big:

Yeah, if we win, the triage may have to go on outside on the grass....

Imagine if there really was an overflow at DCH and some of the hard core found themselves waking up in UAB hospital! :lol:
