GalensGhost 0
I'm disappointed in you. ?? I just found it amusing/interesting because you can use this site to refute most of the "yeah, well Team X would have beaten Team Y because Team Y lost to Team Z and Team X beat them" arguments people seem to want to have. Consider it lofty expectations, due to a stellar resume. You've developed a reputation on this board for the dramatic, teetering-on-psychotic rants against Bama. I was expecting more than the weak x beat y beat z stuff that's been recycled here too many times by far less superior minds than yours. [sarcasm]Try to run all posts through me from now on. 'kay? otterinbham 0
Actually, I think UAB could have beaten Alabama straight up. I'd lay odds on Alabama, but the intangibles could have swung things in the Blazer's favor last year.

[/sarcasm] Understood. I just found it interesting that someone put a site together that debunks the whole who-beat-who discussion. It's much easier than carrying it out on your own. It was a by-product of laziness on my part.

aumd03 2
I wouldn't laugh too hard SL, you guys almost got handed one at home from UAB. I know close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades, but it was close enough to make the home fans go from quite friendly to quite angry with the UAB fans I knew that went. Thats the reason the state schools don't play UAB. 9 times out of 10 you'll beat them soundly, but one time, they'll jump up and bite you in the @ss like Uga did to Karsten Bailey. Yeah, Felton had Tubby's number there for a while. He beat him to open up the season once while he was at WKU, then swept the Cats the next year when he was coaching UGA. He beat him last year too. SouthLink02 8
We beat UAB 34-0 i was refering to the 2003 16-13 game. We barely beat Middle Tennessee State in 2003 as well but we pulled it out. I have been on this site for years saying Richt barely beats some teams...he just usually ends up winning even when they are close. As long as we get the W, I am happy. I don't think Vandy/UK games will happen again with Stafford at QB and especially with Contu back thank goodness...with him we beat both Vandy/UK...what a waste Andy Baily was for a scholly
