Does anyone have any info on who of our plethora of in-state talent may be leaning our way?

I certainly hope we can get a few more since this seems to be an even better year than last--or at least as good.

i've yet to see anything but hoping and hand-wringing about finley. i'm not sure where everyone is getting this idea that he's "probably" staying home. while i'd absolutely love it, i'm just crossing my fingers at this juncture.

Guess what? McClain's line coach is from Huffman and coached Andre (the bear hat) Smith who is now at Bammer. He said in the today's issue of the Bamaham news that his coach had been "advising" him and h e was good friends now with Andre...... Sounds like to me somebody is cultivating a relationship with Antoine in hopes of landing him at Bammer. I definately would NOT say that Antoine is an Auburn lean now! I'm really anxious to see how Tubs and his staff respond to the challenge of Satan and his staff because it's essential that we hold ourown against them this first year before they can destroy the inroads we have made with high school prospects and coaches over the past 9 years. That's what Satan will attempt to do and I probably would as well if I were him.

i don't think his attending practice is any indicator of any desire to change his status as committed to UF. I wish that were the case but I think he just has a hometown connection and will have friends there regardless of where he goes to school. I. too have my fingers crossed but not my hopes up.

Regardless, there are a lot other very high profile in state recruits left uncommited. McClain being one.

I gotta' think there's something to his being at AU practice. He may not come here but I don't think he's 100% committed to the Gayters if he's hanging around the Auburn players and campus. Not reading too much into it but still...

I'm not too worried about it personally..everybody is on the Saban bandwagon, but really AU only has 15 schollies to give out so we are going to lose some mainly because we don't have room for them. AL has a full compliment this year...IT's not that they are choosing AL over AU it's a matter of room and needs.

I think we'll have a few more than that. We lost a couple more players from last year's class than we anticipated. Not to mention Steve Gandy just hung up his cleats. Greg Smith is off the team...

I think we'll have at least 18, maybe 20, to give out when it's all said and done.

Raven had Ole Miss listed as high interest the last time I checked. Do you think he's a lock?

Yes... I have yet to see Auburn lose a player from JUCO or Military School if we've put him there.

esquire--I would be more apt to go along with your theory about his hanging around practice being indicative of his wavering on the UF commit if he didn't live in Auburn. Since he lives there, to me it doesn't really seem all that unusual for a h.s. player to want to be around any college teams. Regardless, I certainly hope you are 100% correct sir.
