It's time to get serious...who is better? KSU or AU

I am sick of all the smack talk...everyone knows that a jacka@** with a keyboard can talk smack, but it is time to put the facts out there. Who should win the game. a team that lost to Rutgers or a team that beat the BIG 12 North Champ Nebraska. let's hit the facts and stop with the BS...who should really win the game.

The team with the most points at the end of the game.

That is all that one needs to know, because who should win the game doesn't mean wincrimson.

Auburn SHOULD win the game, but I don't think it's out of the question that the cats pull it off. We have the horses to get it done. It's just a matter if the play up to their potential or play with their heads up their collective @sses.

Play the way we played against Texas last year, and I think we can play with anyone. We helped them stay in that game with a lot of bad calls/plays.

The way we played against Kansas and Rutgers and we probably would have lost to Florida Atlantic.

The fact of the matter is that we're a young team still and we're not going to have the consistency that is necessary to be a great team, but I definately think we will be a good team.

I think Auburn wins the game, but I think we cover the initial spreads. No matter the outcome, I can't wait for September 1st. College football can't get here soon enough.

Well, there are so many questions on both sides. If KSU's passing attack is red hot, they might get up on us early. I don't know if they can run on us too much, and I don't think they can stop our run, but I would not be surprised if we throw the ball some too. In the end I think it is going to come down to our defense.

We've also got them at 6:45 and I'm not sure that won't play a factor too. Do they know what it's gonna be like? First game...6:45. Should be a great one, but that's when we had GA Tech and USC too.

no usc was a late afternoon game... tech was the night loss.

auburn should win the game. BUT we should've beaten wisconsin two years ago. should've beaten georgia last year. etc. we've gotta show up ready to roll or they'll beat us. if the dline is ready to play, i have a hard time believing they'll put up a lot of points on us. period. we've got the size to stop the run and we certainly have pass-rushers in groves, coleman, sims, marks, and blackmon.

the big question is what our offense will show up with. they have a solid dline from what i've heard, and i think they specialize in getting after the qb. so are we going to be able to impose our will by running the ball? if so, it might be a wazzou opener. if not, we'll be in for a fight, and we'll be relying on brandon to pull it out.

Kinda off topic anyway, but we opened two consecutive years (2002 + 2003) with losses to USC--seems like the 1st was at night and the 2nd was in the afternoon, if memory serves.

The first game was in Cali and it was around 6 pm over here and 4 pm over there. The second game played in Auburn in 2003 was an afternoon game. I think it was CBS.

If our D-Line is as good as advertised, we SHOULD have no problem shutting down the run. We need to keep the pressure on their QB, force him to make mistakes that our veteran secondary can take advantage of.

Offensively, run the ball. Alot. It'll be a good test for our O-Line, but our RBs should be pretty good playmakers. Overall, I don't see Borges trying to really open up the playbook for this one. Keep it simple and do what we do best. Hopefully that will be enough.

Auburn should win the game. Better talent, coaching, etc. Doesn't mean we can't blow up and have K-State come in and play like champs.

I haven't had much of an opportunity to read to much about K state. Any ksu fans that could enlighten me about the strengths and weaknesses of your team. I know that who SHOULD win does not always so I would like to see how the two teams match up. unit to unit.

I know that AU is probably stronger across the board but just let me know where you think ksu has real potential.

I heard CTT say they had the best 2 d-tackles we will see all year. However I do not know much about their LBs & secondary. I am much more concerned about our offense than our defense. I know they will have a d-line similar to MISS state's last year. We need to protect our punter. I would come after him if I were KSU. This could be a factor. All in all I think we are better. But we must be prepared. See ya at fan day-

AU is OBVIOUSLY the better team and AU is OBVIOUSLY going to win. I expect a quick start, a settle time, and then a late 3rd quarter bashing. AU wins, I have a ton of fun sweating in my seat near the visitor section, shouting war eagle, watching the eagle fly, rolling toomer's corner, and driving back to ATL. Dude, get fired up!

I will always give Auburn the win at the first of the season until the tigers give me reason to believe otherwise.I believe our running game will be effective but I really think Al will NOT be that conservative.I think he's thinking conservative was LAST year's team, let's see what my senior qb can do.

Last time I really watched K-state is when they clobbered the Sooners before their national chamionship game? The last time I watched them play a SEC team was what?.....Tenn? and Tenn. got beaten pretty bad.uh oh.

I think the kicking game goes down but the offense rises to the occasion.
