CCTAU 3,836
1) Never crank your mower inside the garage. 2) If you are gonna throw a can of gasoline out of the window during a fire, don't miss the window. Lawn Mower Explodes in Georgia Garage, Sparking Blaze That Destroys HomeWednesday, August 15, 2007 JOHNS CREEK, Ga.  Danny Fendley started more than just his lawn mower when he tugged at its pull cord  he started a fire that destroyed his home. The mower exploded Tuesday in hot, parched conditions. Fendley was trying to start the mower in the garage of his two-story brick home in this Atlanta suburb when the machine burst into flames. Before he could extinguish the fire, it had spread through the garage. Then his wife tried to toss a can of gasoline out a window as the blaze spread, but she missed, spreading the fuel "everywhere," Fendley said. The flames engulfed the house in less than a minute. The couple escaped without serious injury. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/39412-lawnmower-101/ Share on other sites
tiger88 934
Is it safe to say his wife panicked? . He musta too if it destroyed the house. I think the arson unit should check their finances. CCTAU 3,836
I think the mental image of the expression on their faces as she MISSED the window would have been priceless. Sad story, but humorous visions. How do you miss a window with a gas can anyway. Must have been UGA fans. tiger88 934
Yes, very sad, but comical none the less. Maybe they'll put out a self help video, "How to engulf your house in flames in less than a minute!".
