Alex probably won't be returning to the team. He was a partial qualifier out of high school and had struggled to break into the playing rotation at AU. He was behind some of the other recievers, and his situation got worse when Slaughter arrived on campus and Quintarrius Carr stepping up as a true freshman.

He's probably headed back to Florida somewhere. This was his best chance to leave because if he had been on the 85 man roster on a certain date before this season, he would have had to sit out this season and the next before transferring somewhere like UCF or USF.

This way he can transfer and this can be his season of sitting out.
