a Rob Zombie Produced HALLOWEEN... from the looks of it, it looks pretty F'N scary. And, I've never been that scared of Michael Myers, but this one... ... Think Halloween/The Texas Chainsaw Massacre/The Devil's Rejects.

Here's a couple links to see some of the trailers. It's coming out at the end of this Month, so that way by the time Halloween rolls around it might be out on DVD, since DVDs are starting to come out earlier and earlier. And Yes, Sheri Moon Zombie will be in it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll start booing now.

Devil's Rejects could have been such a good movie had the director been capable.

Nice, I think we will have to go see that on opening night. Micheal Myers has always freaked me out, by the looks of those trailers this movie will be as sick and twisted as I expect from Astrocreep

Sorry GG but you are WRONG. "The Devil's Rejects" was Perfectly Done. Rob Zombie is one of, if not The, Best Horror/Gore Movie directors. (Period). Take his first movie..."House of 1000 Corpse," didn't really have any Big named actors in it and Everyone except for the Crazy family Died......What was the last Horror Flick you saw that had ALL of the Good guys die?

"The Devil's Rejects" (his 2nd Movie)....Was one of the most In your face type of movies to date, even more than "House of 1000 Corpse." RZ's approach to his first two movies was to put the Horror Back into the Horror Flick. He used a different approach, odd camera angles, and had a sort of rustic feel to them.

And if you didn't like the Sound Track of "The Devil's Rejects", you are not an American or a man.

I'm just hoping Captain Spaulding is in this new Halloween, which Will be better than the Original, write it down.

I hope you have a few hours to kill but that's how long it'll take to finish arguing with GG about movies.

I personally think that remaking the Halloween movie is a complete waste of time. Why remake it? WHY REMAKE ANYTHING? Come up with your own damn idea and if you can't, please move out of the way for someone else to. Will this Halloween be better than the original? Yes. But who cares? It's already been done.

Also, House of 1000 Corpses was spectacular. The Devil's Rejects blew horse testicals.

HAA! I know a good movie when I see one. DR could have been awesome in more capable hands. Instead it was just garish gratuitous gore. I like some of Rob's music, but as a director he's a hack. Worse than a hack, actually. There was no "horror" in that movie. Horror movies should scare, frighten, surprise, spook you. You're making the mistake of confusing idiotic gore for "horror". You don't have to show some unwashed simpleton capering around with another man's skin on his face to create horror. Some of the greatest horror movies of all time show very little blood.

Soundtrack was okay. No problem there, but the movie was schlock, dreck, expectorant. It was a steaming pile. Sorry. It was just bad.

Do any movies actually scare you? I honestly have zero movies I can admit to being "scary." Maybe I'm too dry to allow movies to suck me in that much but I always realize that it's fiction.

There are movies that startle me -- you know, the cat leaping out of the mailbox or something.

There are movies that disturb me -- Se7en was like that. When that box was delivered, I was like "no, no, no, HELL no, no, it can't be that..." Nice unexpected ending.

There are movies that grab me with something completely unexpected: Se7en, The Departed.

There are movies that do scare me in the overall sense of "this could really happen"

But scared? Not since I was a kid and The Exorcist and The Omen both freaked me completely the hell out.

I have to agree with GG about Devils Rejects. What was great or scary about watching people going around killing other people? It was too predictable.

IMO a true horror film has to have Jamie Lee Curtis's ta ta's in it! :big:

THIS WEEKEND A record summer box office ended on a high note with a record Labor Day weekend led by Rob Zombie's new take on the horror classic Halloween which scored the biggest opening ever for this holiday frame. The R-rated creepfest grossed $30.6M over the four-day Friday-to-Monday period, according to final studio figures, for MGM and The Weinstein Co. from an ultrawide 3,472 theaters for a powerful $8,811 average. That was enough to slash through the previous holiday best of $20.1M from 2005's Transporter 2 by a stunning 52%. Over the Friday-to-Sunday portion, the pic scored $26.5M and a $7,622 average. The gross for the Michael Myers fright pic surged ahead of industry expectations and ranked as the best horror opening since Saw III's three-day tally of $33.6M from last Halloween.

This terrible movie was #1 at the box office this weekend, I feel bad for Rob making such a bad movie
