yep, word floating aroung is Jay Jacobs and Coach Tuberville will hold a press conference next week

to announce that Auburn will no longer field a football team. The reason is there is no point in it since saban is now the king AND queen of the known universe.

From now on, any mention of Saban's dominance in recruiting will get this response from me:

Did Arkansas message boards freak out when we stole their Number 1 and Number 2 recruits?

Did Florida message boards freak out when we stole their Number 1 running back?

Did Georgia message boards freak out when we stole Tray Blackmon?

Brad Lester? Georgia.

Tristan Davis? Georgia.

King Dunlap? Tennessee.

Mario Fannin? Georgia.

Quentin Groves? Mississippi.

Patrick Lee? Florida.

Rod Smith? Georgia.

Carl Stewert? Tennessee.

Ben Tate? Maryland.

Josh Thompson? Georgia.

Jonathon Wilhite? Louisiana.

Bammers don't realize that the reason why their July recruiting class doesn't scare us is because a large number of our big name players and a rather large number of our big time recruits aren't from Alabama.

Need I bring up that we have Mr. Football's from four states? Ben Tate - Maryland. Carl Stewert - Tennessee. Robert Dunn - Georgia. Brandon Cox - Alabama. And Lee Ziemba was Arkansas's Gatorade Player of the Year.

Hope this helps.

What does bammers class look like come January when saban throws up a 6-6 season and a sixth straight lost to AU?

They'll still get their fair share of players from Alabama. First off, alot of the top players this year in Alabama seem to have been a bammer fan growing up. Secondly, $aban will promise immediate playing time and National Championships.

Bama will always get their share of instate players. Nothing is etched

in stone at this point in time. Let all wait till Feb. and then compare. After

that they will have to beat us on the field of play. How has that worked out

for them over the last decade even with their so called superior classes? :P

Auburn always keeps recruiting close to the vest until right at National Signing Day - then finish with a top class - I don't see any reason why this year will be different. Saban did a great job of recruiting at LSU and Shula was "supposed" to be a great recruiter - but like already said, performance on the field does wonders - If Bama falls on their face this year then I'm sure they will loose a few recruits from out of the state - same probably goes for Auburn and every other major program....
