Preachae says "Shhhh!!"

IMHO, the ultimate moment in last year's AU-SPUAT game was when PR caught the touchdown pass and held up 1 finger in front of his lips as if to say to the bammers "shut up". I have visions of a large picture or painting in my office of that very moment.

1. Does anyone know if there's been a painting done of that? For instance, anyone hit the bookstores already and seen one?

2. Does AU photographic services still set up outside Haley Center before games? They'll probably have one, huh?

WDE!!!!

I personally thought it was a classless move, and I was more glad to see Robert Dunn slap the finger away from his face. I think punching it in was insult enough. I'm not a fan of gloating after a TD. Go give the ball to the ref and celebrate with your teammates. Taunting has no place, even if it is Alabama.

No offense, but I highly doubt that moment will be on a painting. To me personally, the moment after that when Robert Dunn came over and knocked his hand away from the front of his facemask was a much better sight.

I disagree with that being taunting. Taunting is when you are rubbing it in the face of an opposing player. Had he chased the opposing DB down the field doing it, then that's taunting.

Likewise, he wasn't breakdancing, performing an organized celebration, or pulling a Sharpie out of his sock. It was a simple "shhhh" directed towards no one in particular (or at worst, the crowd) showing that it was about to reeeaaaal quiet because the game was over.

It was a moment to gloat, but it's generally not the Auburn way to be so open about it. Being in the end zone says it all. I'd doubt a painting of that is something you'd find in a book store, but a nice print could turn up, somewhere.

Per 'gloating', I liked what Lawyer Tillman use to do to defenders after he caught a pass and scored. He'd casually place the ball on the defenders chest, who was on the ground, as if to say... " Here ya go, I'm done w/ it " , or " Did you want this ? " . :poke: It was done so smoothly, I never saw anyone knock it away or anything. By the time they figured out what had happened, he was half way back to the sidelines.

:P

I'm sorry but i liked it!!!!!!!! We don't have WAR in front of EAGLE for nothing.

I guess it has to do with all the years of disrespect from the bammers!

This can go either way in the Auburn Family.

Also for the Auburn fans saying it is classless i guess Coach TT was classless to for holding up five. :moon:

Umm, if by insult you mean by the fact that Auburn got the two when Alabama couldn't? Because there was no insult - Auburn was playing to go up by 7. Six would've been pointless.

AMEN!

I would be ashamed if I saw a painting of that.

Dwayne Jarrett did that to a Michigan defender...it was priceless. I'm pretty sure the commentators of the Rose Bowl frowned upon it but oh well.

I personally loved the "sshhhh." I like a little taunting, a little rubbing, a little smack. It riles up the opposing side. Now, there is a fine line between "a little" and "too far." Terrell Owens slamming ball on Dallas Cowboys' midfield logo? Too far. Terrell Owens pulling out a sharpie after a touchdown and autographing the ball? Hilarious but too far. Terrell Owens flexing his arms after a big play? Perfect amount of "trash."

To tell yall the truth, I kinda liked it, but was glad to see RD come over and get in the way of the ref and knock PR's hand down... It was a little taunting, but not so much so to cause a flag. If you guys call that taunting, then Ben O giving the Q-Dawg sign after he scored on numerous occasions should be considered and is considered taunting by refs, because after the second time he did it against bama the ref quickly told him to stop. Also, don't forget about B. Lester holding up a High 5 as he crossed the goal line. I'm just saying, it's okay to do a little taunting but not so much as to get penalty... a little High 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10; a Shhh to the crowd, or representing your fraternity; isn't anything to get worked up over. I personally would like for all of our TD makers to give the ball to the ref and just do a high belly or back bump.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Shhhh. T4life nailed it. There's NO difference in that and CTT holding up 5 fingers or wearing a shirt saying the same. Yes, there's a line you don't need to cross but that's not even close. This was Bama beyotch. It's one of the biggest and most emotional games in any sport, anywhere. If you don't want the players to play with fire and emotion, get ready for 8-4, 7-5 every year.

I forgot what year it was, might've been last year when the team rushed onto the field before the Alabama team did. I thought that was ballsy and psychological at the same time. It might've been when their pregame video was showing.

****MOD EDIT*******

Please try again. We will not tolerate you berating other members of the AU family just because they do not agree with your perspective on this topic or any other. Debating like a mature adult is encouraged on this board. Leave the playground bs namecalling off the board please. I suggest you go read the AU creed besides the board rules.

I'm gonna find that picture and have it enlarged to a wall sized poster. I'll post a pic of it when I get it. WDE.

Yeah, that was last year. The game was at Bryant-Denny, and after all, the home team is supposed to run on the field first, so..... :roflol:

Look, you can agree to disagree if you thought what PR did was too much. However, some of you are crossing the line by saying that those that disagree with you "have no stones" and other playground bs. Learn how to discuss like mature adults and stop acting like you just came in from recess.

If you are going to talk like that to other members of the AU family just because they disagree with you about what a player did in the endzone, then you need to read the Auburn creed before you keep calling yourself a member of the AU family.

If you haven't noticed I am sick of seeing AU members treating other AU members like crap just because they disagree about something so trivial. Either act like a member of the AU family and show some class and respect to other family members or find another family!

Was it wrong for Tre Smith to do a flip in the endzone at the florida game or is it wrong the next time one of our WR's catches the ball in the endzone and rasies both hands and makes eagle wings!!!!!!!!

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!! This auburn family has to agree to disagree on this OPINION totally or this is going to get ugly quick.
