I think it means he was at the game.

I don't understand what the big deal people make about him leaving...

CTT and co. can't do much if the kid just wants to leave here... I can understand that. I left Birmingham for a big reason because I don't want to live there anymore.

Some breaking news on Finley: it appears that Florida is seriously considering pulling his offer, at this time we aren't even that interested in him. By all accounts he has had a terrible senior season and also appears to have grade concerns, attitude concerns, and work ethic concerns. He is reeling right now to draw some interest (if Florida does indeed pull out) but it doesn't appear that he is going to demand anywhere near the interest he had this summer. He has dropped like a rock.

Our chances of getting him wont matter if we dont want him ;) . Like I said, as of right now I dont think we'd even take him. Dont sleep on Marcus Jemison who has the size (6'2 195) and is a terrific athlete in his own regard, as of now he's higher on the list than Finley is and we should end up getting him (given that this whole coaching thing is settled of course).

Our coaches graded Jemmison out higher during hte camps...even though the recruiting gurus don't think so....because they have coached sooo many players..

As much as I want our program to get the best players, I can never get happiness out of a young man having grade and personal issues - even if it help us get him here.

First and foremost I hope Dee gets his life together for Dee. Not Auburn, Florida, or whomever else.

My old roomate is a teacher at Auburn High and tought Dee. He said the kid really needs to get out of town because he has some friends/family that are into some pretty bad stuff. I just hope the kid can go somewhere and get and education/get on the right track, wherever that may be.

Bad attitude and lazy ... don't waste the scholarship if true. Either of the two would be a deal breaker for me.

Let's see.....he has a bad attitude and is lazy. Has he considered SPUAT?

have a cousin at mcadory who knows jemison and says he's all :au: . far as i've heard, we're not even really after finley anymore, for the reasons above. sucks for the kid, but this is why they play their senior seasons.

FWIW, I heard the same thing from a good friend of Dee's high school coach. It seems that the best thing for Dee would be to get out of town and make a fresh start. I hate it, because it looks like he has a ton of potential, but if it is for his own good to leave, I wish him the best.

this is my first post, however, I have read this forum for over 2 years..... I am a Auburn High graduate, I currently go to Auburn University.....

Beleive me NO ONE has recruited Dee harder than I have, he regularly comes and hangs out with us and I have talked to him about recruiting....

He is interested in Auburn but he knows he has to get out of town, and from talking to him I agree ....

To many guys he hangs out with are doing nothing with their lives here and will drag him down....

but WHO TOLD YOU HE HAD A BAD SENIOR YEAR?.... about 50 tackles and 8 or 9 picks(not sure exactly)...

What a horrible year.....

I can see where people can say that... but stats are stats... and you do not rack up stats like that from not giving effort.... UF will get him to play at the tempo they want....

Also, teams made a concious effort to run plays away from him...he was the only D1 prospect on that defense... and took away team's big plays...(pratville only scored 24 points)

there is 2 things you can not coach SIZE and SPEED... 6'3"/210lbs, 4.4-4.5 speed

24 is a pretty good amount of points.

Opelika held Prattville to 10 points. They have zero D-1 prospects.

How many big plays did Dee Finley take away from Opelika's 27 points on Auburn?
