AUBURN, Ala. - Freshman Wes Byrum's 43-yard field goal on the game's final play of Auburn's 20-17 victory at then-No. 4 Florida is eligible for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year.

With the game tied at 17, Byrum nailed his second field goal of the game to help Auburn snap Florida's 11-game winning streak and 18-game home winning streak. Byrum actually made the winning kick twice, but the first kick was negated due to a timeout called just before the snap.

Fans across the nation then voted the play the Game Changing Performance of the Week.

Fans will now have the opportunity to vote on the performance as the game-changer of the year by visiting http://www.pontiac.com/ncaa . The winning school will earn a $100,000 scholarship contribution from Pontiac.

Each week, the three plays with the lowest vote totals will be eliminated until the top four plays are remaining on Dec. 20. Voting will continue until Jan. 7, the date of the 2007 BCS Championship Game. The winner of the Pontiac Game Changing Performance Of The Year will be announced on FOX at halftime of the championship game.

In addition, for the next five weeks, a lucky individual who visits pontiac.com/ncaa, will win a $15,000 scholarship for themselves or their families. In total, Pontiac will provide $300,000 worth of scholarships to universities and individuals throughout the season.

Last season, Auburn won the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year award thanks to another play that helped the Tigers beat Florida. Tre Smith's return of a punt blocked by Jerraud Powers helped the Tigers earn a 27-17 victory over the Gators, and a $100,000 scholarship from Pontiac.
