are tv stations ever correct or current? They should be ahead of the news but they are usually the last

to know and the least reliable.

What about this.

Tuberville wants the buy-out reduced. No give on Auburn's part

Raises and financial package for assistance.Auburn, no mention in offer.

Auburn shows no love.Tuberville turns it down, heads to LSU.

Jacobs gets to say,"we offered him a raise to make him the second highest paid coach in college football"He didn't want to stay here"

Lowder gets what he wants since 2003,the opportunity to finally run Tuberville off.Bobby's back in control.Ego satisfied.

Unfortunately, I believe you may be on to something here. :puke: lowder

If Lowder mean this to the AU family, we must demand, in unison, his removal from the BOT. If the Auburn family wants him gone (and I am a part of that famliy), then an organized effort will be the only chance to force change at AU.

Just a thought. I hope this ends soon, because it's getting under my skin.

I have to admit that I thought Tuberville was gone on Thursday night. I thought it would be a done deal on Friday. Now I think that the longer this plays out, the more I think he is using Arkansas to get what he wants....wither way, I am not thrilled about the situation...

I'm like a lot of Auburn people, I love Tubs and want him to stay. However, I'm getting a little sick of this "drama" every year it seems like where he plays games and leaves the Auburn nation hanging. He'd better be out recruiting rather than holding out for a reduction in the buyout. Just think, IF he leaves us, he wants to pay us less as he leaves but if we let him go, he would demand payment in full. From what I read in Marshall's column today, he's been offered a fair deal that would would pay him 3.3 million and 4 million by the end of his contract, which is DAMN fair! I wish I knew where the PTB stood on his request for facility upgrades though. I'm just tired of this charade and wish he'd just make up his mind or leave!

They tried to get rid of Tuberville in 2003, and they couldn't. Then he followed it up with 2004. Tuberville is in the position of power now. He's just playing the game. I dont really blame him.

If there is any attempt made to rid Auburn of a BOT cancer it should be

directed at McWhorter. It is a shame it was not done after Jetgate!

Unfortunately, that's been tried. The outcome of that was putting independent people on the BOT, in hopes to water down Lowder's power. That seems to have worked, but could this be an "end-around" by Lowder? I wouldn't put it past him for a minute.

I've been hearing the blame on Lowder is misplaced.

FWIW, apparently McWhorter is more involved in athletics than anyone else on the BOT.

I don't know if this is true, but from what I hear McWhorter and Lowder have had a falling-out and McWhorter is now firmly on Tuberville's side.
