It would be ironic if this kid comes in, becomes a star, and outshines the likes of those who went up the road! That would be AUsome! :)

Here's what we got. I could see this kid returning punts and kickoffs as early as this fall if he gains a little weight. Special teams receiving has been a weak spot for us and maybe this guy can change that.

Thanks for the video. I knew the kid was good but had only seen a couple of highlights on local sports report. Doesn't look like he has break away speed but he's got "slicker" moves than $aban at negotiation time. :au:

I know this is gonna make me sound like a negetive Nancy, but I have to ask....

What's the deal with this kid? How come he wasn't signed by anyone? He was runner up Mr. Football but didn't get a scholly offer from ANYONE? I'm very confused, unless he is very small or something.

The article says he was offered scholarships to a few schools, and visited those and didn't like what he saw. He said he was told by the coaches that he can earn a scholarship quick at Auburn. He also liked that we ran the same offense that he ran in high school.

I would guess the main reason he didn't have a scholarship offer from a big school is that he is coming off a knee injury, but he has received a clean bill of health from his doc and been cleared to play.

Hope he comes in and does well for himslef

We have a serious shortage of RB's. He might play this year. I think 4 scholarship RB's on a roster is not enough, especially how injury prone the position is. Look how many TE's we have???

Is there something he can do this summer to increase his speed? Maybe a run with the track team or something? He has great vision and the moves, just maybe needs a little size, strength and speed.

My guess is the AU coaches/trainers will give him some kind of program to work on before he reports. The question is will he do it and/or how much will he put into it. :football:
