I look forward to foreign policy debates between McCain and Obama

Obama Wins Backing of 9/11 Commission Co-Chairman Lee Hamilton

Bloomberg | April 02, 2008

By Julianna Goldman

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama won the support of one of his party's top foreign policy figures, Lee Hamilton, a former U.S. House member from Indiana, where an important primary vote occurs May 6.

Hamilton, who co-chaired the commission that investigated the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and headed the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, said he was impressed by Obama's approach to national security and foreign policy.

"I read his national security and foreign policy speeches, and he comes across to me as pragmatic, visionary and tough,'' Hamilton said in an interview yesterday. "He impresses me as a person who wants to use all the tools of presidential power.''

So a librul chooses the most librul candidate. It's not like he was EVER siding with McCain. If he had never said a word, he would still side with whomever the dim candidat will be. So what is the big news here?

Is it just another bobo honking for achmed?

I think the point is that someone who is well versed in national security choose Obama over Clinton. If he didn't think Obama or Clinton could do it he probably would not have endorsed anyone.

So you think in the end he would not have supported the dim candidate? No matter which one it is?

it makes sense for him to support late in the game. afterall, the media and markets agree that hillary doesn't have a chance. several people have came out asking her to step aside and quit trying to damage the party.

No, I am sure he would have supported the democrat candidate either way, but when the race is still some what up in the air, he choose a candidate whose biggest question is on this subject.

Look, if John Birch were to come out and support Obama, they would find something to gripe about.
