'Report on Sept. 6 strike to show Saddam transferred WMDs to Syria'

By JPOST.COM STAFF

An upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday.

Furthermore, according to a report leaked to the TV channel, Syria has arrested 10 intelligence officials following the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh.

It's obvious that you being the leftist you are the PLO Times or AL JAZEERA would be much more reputable.

the Jeruslem Post? Good God.

Your point? According to this article, after periods of leaning left and right, it's viewed as a rather centrist publication now:

Whilst it was once regarded as left-wing, the paper underwent a noticeable shift to the right in the late 1980s.[2] Under new ownership and editorial leadership of editor-in-chief David Horovitz since 2004, the paper's political identity has moved again to a more complex centrist position. Examples of this shift include support for the August 2005 disengagement from the Gaza Strip and the paper's advocacy for privatization of Israeli religious institutions...

...Currently the newspaper is viewed as having a moderate conservative slant on news coverage, although left-wing columns are often featured on the editorial pages. It espouses economic positions close to those of neoliberalism: tight fiscal control on public spending, curbing of welfare, cutting taxes, and anti-union monopoly legislation, among others. The paper competes with the liberal Haaretz newspaper, which began publishing an English language edition in the 1990s as an insert to the International Herald Tribune.

Wouldn't want to force you to employ critical thinking skills or anything though.

I wouldn't quote them as credible sources,no.

your source says" moderate conservative slant"

That isn't criteria for "lacking credibility." Every paper has a slant to some degree. My source also said that it has left-wing editorial columns. The Boston Herald slants conservative, the Boston Globe slants liberal. Same with the Washington Times vs Washington Post. Doesn't make them lack credibility either.

Welcome to the grown up world.

How safe is it to bomb a pile of weapons of mass destruction?

Maybe we'll have pics of them like we did of the mobile labs which didn't exist.

No country has the amounts of weapons of mass destruction that we do. Shouldn't we attack ourselves??? :slapfh:

As long as the bombing prevents the employment/usage of those WMDs against us by the crazies, then bombing the pile is "very" safe, especially if some of those crazies are eliminated at the same time. Two birds, one stone & stuff ...

No. We should not attack ourselves because if we did that, then that would put us in the crazies category.
