CEO pay and such is out of control in a lot of cases. They aren't super geniuses with very rare exception. They are fortunate to be where they are and would be helpless without their underlings there to help run the companies.

My issue isn't so much with capping anyone's pay, it's with allowing these guys to make what they make while squeezing their labor pool, giving miserly raises and such while they make insane salaries themselves that seem to have nothing reigning them in. Then they don't even share in the risk of the company doing poorly and going in the tank because while the average schlep in the store or on the line gets laid off or the factory closes down and scrambles to make ends meet, they get a golden parachute to tide them over to their next job all for being a miserable failure.

It's not right.
