Well, it will be nice if an SEC team gets a post-season shot at USC, finally. However, I find it hard to believe that both USC and Ohio State will finish in the top 5 at the end of the regular season. One or the other (whoever wins the OSU-USC game) will likely go undefeated and end the regular season No. 1.

And, I'm sorry. LSU and Auburn will both be better than Florida. Defense wins championships. QBs win Heisman trophies.

The comment about Michigan possibly upsetting Ohio State is beyond laughable. It's totally ridiculous. If Michigan wins 6 games, goes to a bowl, and loses by less than 3 TDs to Ohio State, then Michigan will have a successful season.

At least Missouri wasn't listed in the Top 5.

Wow. Maybe we should start replaying video of the last game that Ohio State played before we predict them in the Top 5?

Here we sit again pre-season with USC at the top due to their easy path to their conference championship and resulting trip to the Rose Bowl ad nauseum. Here we sit again with pre-season Ohio State love-fest in the works due to the fact they are in a pathetic conference as well.

I am growing weary of the same crap every year, guys.

The only truly legit one of those that I understand is UGA, but UGA has to play the SEC and anything can happen.

In a day and age where the only thing that matters seems to be NON-conference schedule, regardless of how weak your conference is...what else can you expect? The teams that have the easiest path will dominate polls every year. Meanwhile the rest of us will slug it out in a fight for our lives each week.

Disagree on a lot of that to be honest

I think UF is going to be much better than LSU next year. I think UF/AU both have shots of being a Top 5 team if the chips fall their way

I also think UM beating OSU is not that laughable. Expected? No but I do think that as low of a scumbag as RR is off-the-field, he is still a VERY good coach who will install a very lethal offense at Michigan. Will they win a lot in 2008? I doubt it but by the end of the season, I wouldn't write off their team WHATSOEVER

Ohio State is not as in-your-face as some in the media think and RR may put that fierce attitude into UM to propel them to a victory

Never know in those big-time rivalry games
