mcgufcm 4,109
Quick comments: you'd be absolutely positively insane to take any dlineman (tackle or end) over Sen'Derrick Marks. Insane. The idea that Ricky Jean-Francois and his exceedingly limited experience should be ranked higher is just plain dumb. He's played in what? 13 games? Gimme a break. Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem with Tray not being on the list? Much like I'd downgrade RJF for his lack of experience, I don't think Tray has been consistent enough or proven enough to make a top five list. He's a playmaker, and he's a great hitter. He also doesn't rack up tackles like a middle linebacker does... he tends to blend in for long stretches. I do think Ramar Chaney is a bit of a reach at number three. For the record, the writer did say "Brian Shoemaker." Who the heck is Terry Grant running over? I think the writer also misses the point on LSU's WRs. He says Byrd will get loads of attention, and Tolliver will stretch the field. Then he ranks LaFell in the top five?!? Really? The reason Byrd will get the attention is BECAUSE HE'S BETTER!! I disagree with lots of his oline rankings. I've said before and I'll say again that I'd take at least 3 of Auburn's linemen over Caldwell. I don't know that Trautwein or Williams belongs. SouthLink02 8
Thoughts Defense - Glad to see Gino Atkins getting some love as he is going to be a STUD in 2008 - Surprised neither Prince Miller or Asher Allen made the list but I shouldn't be as neither had great 2007 years stat wise but really did well last season and should do VERY well next year - Munnerlyn is the most over-rated D player in the SEC - Eric Berry deserves the #1 ranking but Major Wright shouldn't be on the Top 5 list Offense - Why is Gerald Jones ahead of McKinley? McKinley blows Jones away talent wise, imo - Get Tripp Chandler off that list of TE's
