Looks like after watching the slightly extended portion of that clip sounded like he was saying that was 7 points.

Its still a nice little picture to have if we do beat bama again.

I duno... all I saw/heard was him with 6 fingers and him say "O wait, that makes Seven."

The most enduring image from the trip - for college football fans, at least - might be video of soldiers hoisting Tuberville on their shoulders after winning a flag-football game. Tuberville held up seven fingers, a reference to Auburn's six-game winning streak over Alabama.

Tuberville said it was a good-natured gesture.

"There was a lot of kidding going on between us and the Alabama fans," Tuberville said. "We went over there to spread goodwill. We didn't go over there to jab anybody."

Is it too bad I guess that is the only time Tubs will be at the White House. Sure as hell won't have his team with him.

Save this post for when we do win the MNC.

Hell at this rate, Bama fans would have to be ecstatic to get invited to the governor's mansion, much less the White House.

At least Tubs took the time and appreciated his visit to the White House. That's more than one can say for your asshat of a coach. Saban was invited to meet with Bush when he was coaching the Dolphins and said he didn't have time to meet with the Pres. What a jerk.

Oh well, maybe old Nicky will get invited again if he ever beats Auburn. That will be such an accomplishment that he would deserve another invite.

What Tuberville and others did was great, but so what if Saban didn't want to take time out of practice to rub elbows with Bush? BFD.

The issue isn't "rub elbows with Bush", it's turning down an invite from the President of the United States. It's respect for the office. Seems to me that Nick demands respect from others but doesn't see fit to be respectful himself.

Thank you for validating that your an a**hole just like we all knew you were. Loser... Given the difference in our programs right now, I wouldn't be so quick to run my mouth if I were you. Of course, that's what uaters do best no matter how far their program falls into mediocrity.

You are just pissy that despite UA's horrible team recently, and your best teams probably ever, still can't win a national title, let alone play for one. Oh, and you are the LOSER! :roflol:

Yeah it is a BFD and it's shows a plain lack of class for Saban to refuse to take a few minutes out of practice to meet with The President of The United States, no matter what his last name is. Of course Saban was just exercising his huge ego which sooner or later will bite bama in the butt. When that happens you are gonna hear a national rumble on the Richter Scale.

I'll take 6 in a row over bama anyday rather than a MNC. Keep on living in the past baby :moon:

Maybe you should start worrying about #7 rather than having wet dreams about your past.

The fact that the only enjoyment or reason you think people like to watch college football is for the hope of a national championship is what makes everyone say that Alabama fans are unrealistic, and is also the reason for why your school can't keep coaches for more than 2 years.

If we win the SEC title every now and then, and continue to beat Alabama I'm content and happy. If an NC comes, well then great, but I'm not arrogant enough to expect National Championships to just come rolling in just because of the bad luck and unfavorable system that exists right now to prevent us from getting them.

There's a difference between our fans, your fans watch football only for the hope of hardware, our fans watch our team simply because we enjoy watching our young men play the game and become men. Auburn football is not only about wins and losses and appeasing the racist fanbase (why you wouldn't choose Croom), it's about gathering together on a Saturday to just enjoy good games of football, and try to pull our team through, win or lose.

By the way Ashandrei, how old are you? Do you think anyone in America really honestly gives a damn about titles won in the 70s or even in 1992? I started watching College Football in 1994 (when I was 7), everything since then has just been my school dominating yours, so why should I think that your team is really worth a damn when it hasn't really done anything of relevance since I started watching football?

Not pissy at all. Who came in to this thread and started running their mouth? I think its funny that all you have to do with your pathetic life is come to an Auburn message board and run down another program. Now jackass, uat's mediocrity hasn't had anything to do with Auburn's success. Continue to live in your delusion if you like. Auburn has won 50 games over the last 5 years. That means you've screwed up our strength of schedule FIVE times because you suck so bad. Now, given that its only 5 wins vs. uat during that period, that would leave 45 games that we've won against teams other that pathetic uat. Now as far as your national title argument goes, I have a question. How are we supposed to figure NC's? Can we use the uat way? Can we claim one where we finished THIRD in the conference? If we used the uat way of counting..we'd claim the ones that we have been recognized for, like 1913, 1914, 1957, 1958, 1983, 1993, and 2004.

Since when is visiting the White House the measure of a national title? Hell, you guys claim one from any comic book that'll name you. See 1941.

Oh yeah... I forgot that the '93 and '04 teams were at the White House.

Sour grapes. Its pretty pathetic that you call us a bunch of classless idiots when you write posts like this. (sigh) Some people make me sick.

Anyway, I think its great that Tuberville and the others volunteered to do this. They could have been out trying to get an edge in recruiting for the past week and a half, but instead, they showed us that they know there are much more important things than college football, something which those over in West Vance can't seem to wrap their minds around. Its pathetic that anyone would try to interject some WEAK football smack into a good-natured discussion about coaches doing a noble thing overseas.

Bravo Coach Tuberville and others! You show us the true meaning of class.

War Damn Eagle!

Yet still it's two undefeated Auburn teams since the last time bammer had one.
