My brother golfed with John Croyle Today

So my brother sends me a picture message from his blackberry asking me who I thought it was. I guessed Brandon Cox, but wasn't sure. Bingo... he said he was playing ahead of himself and John Croyle.

I respond "ut-oh, I hope he is not related to Brodie Croyle." ... Bingo - Dad

I told him to give him a High Five and a Thumbs up for me - brother didn't do it (family... he's an Ole Miss Grad - was a sophomore when Tuberville left - he thought Tubs was a God until he left for Auburn - now he's a snake and an average coach, but good recruiter).

I guess it was part of some celebrity golf tournament for charity or something like that in Birmingham

**Update** Apparently my brother thought the thumbs up was to be from Brandon Cox (he didn't catch the joke). He got a picture with BC, but BC wouldn't give a thumbs up :(

I had a class with Frank Thomas when I was at Auburn.

It was Legal & Social Environment of Business and there were like 100 people in it, so we didn't hang out or anything.

Plus he never came to class.

Yeah..so? I had Bo Jackson in two classes in one quarter. Saw him show the first day for both of em'.

So, top that!

I went on a date with Brodie Croyles sister, then right before we ate dinner....she pulled her faulsies out. OF COURSE I STAYED!!!!!!!!! I mean, it would be real mean to get up and leave b/c of a minor flaw like that. We then got REALLY REALLY REALLY drunk, and it turns out the "no teeth" thing sort of made me a very happy man later! B) ......I've decided to ONLY date Bammer chicks from now on! Also, I know now why they say row tahd instead of roll tide.......

go ahead try it.....................put your lips over your teeth (to simulate not having any) and say roll tide.....

See there, I told ya! row tahd row!!!!! woo hoo

Here's your thumbs up for the best topic ever PC!

No, but I did ask him what his father, Charlie Rich, thought about his son being a wrasslir. He told me they was not related.

I can see the resemblance with the white hair and all. You don't think Wildfire bleached his hair, do you?

Naaahh

The Tournament was the 3rd Annual Lifeline Celebrity Golf Classic. We played at Eagle Point in Birmingham. Lifeline is an Adoption Agency in Birmingham, AL. We had a great turnout of former Auburn/Alabama Players. Just a partial list for those interested-- :au:-Brandon Cox, Phillip Yost, Stan White, Joe Cribbs, Frank Sanders, :ua: -Bobby Humphery, Roger Shultz and John Croyle. If anyone might be interested in playing/participating next year, let me know. I will add you to the list of people/companies to contact for 2009. My wife and I used Lifeline Adoptoin Agency and traveled to the Ukraine to adopt our 3 children. This agency is special to us and the golf tournment is a big fund raiser event. I participated on the Tournment Committee this year and took a few pictures for Lifeline. We are always looking for companies to donation and participate.

I once had a foursome with Bo Jackson, Audrey Bruce, and Frank Thomas with the entire cheering squad rooting us on while Pat Dye and Bobby Lowder watched.

Once upon a time, I had Calculus with Forrest Blue and ROTC with Tom Bryan. Remembering now since I'm not so sure how much longer my long term memory will be working.

I played against Brodie's high school our senior year after he tore his ACL and I got late hit on their sideline. I got up and got in the player's face and John Croyle grabbed me by my jersey and slung back on the field. I told him to stick the football up his @ss. We were winning big anyways.

Also in High School, before our Basketball game at their gym, we were lined up in the hallway waiting for the varsity girls game to end. In that hallway were framed pictures of John Croyle and famous people. Well two of our players started horsing around and knocked a picture of John Croyle and Mean Joe Greene off the wall and it shattered the frame and glass. Well John Croyle came storming over there and made those two guys pay for the cost to get it reframed and fixed.

Lectron Williams beat me in a heated game of badminton. He spiked the shuttlecock and it left a welt above my right eye. He was a good sport, though. He even threw me his sweat towel when he was done with it.
