Prince cover of Radiohead's "Creep"

I read this in the paper today that he covered this song and it was pulled from youtube. Here is an amateur video. It's still pretty good, he's a good performer. Side note Radiohead said hey we own that song We wanted to see how he did, but they couldn't even watch it.

Full story is that it was posted on youtube. Prince's record label took them all down due to copyright infringment. Radiohead heard about the video and went to youtube to see it and saw it had been removed. They contacted Prince's record label and in so many words say 'yeah its copyright infringment because its OUR song. Put it back up.'

Thats interesting. They refuse to play that song in concert now days and Thom Yorke basically disowned the song in an interview. He said something like he doesn't even equate that as a radiohead song. He really doesn't like it.

Typical. Artists are so full of it. Trying to "keep it real" artistically or whatever...like they are better than the music that got them there to begin with. Piss on the fans...we wont play what they want.

Just like Madonna refusing to play any of her old stuff. I guess it's hard to work that newly acquired British accent in with "Like a Virgin"

Creep is one of my all time favorite songs!!!

Sound quality was not great but it sounds like a great freaking cover by Prince!!!

I really think it's up to them as to what they want to play live. Radiohead isn't a band that goes out and plays it's "hits" every show.

Remember too, that this is the same band who's last record was available for free download and they said - pay what you think we deserve for it. And it's an awesome album.

Anyone remember Bowie, he is legend for not redoing old stuff in concert. It is a trademark of his to some degree.
