Ranger12 53
Just went with to see a matinée with my pops. Let must start off by saying it is much better that piece of crap that Ang Lee made a few years ago. This "retry" was much more like the comic and I did not feel disappointed after watching it like I did the other one. Ed Norton did a much better job as Bruce Banner. Even though this version had a less "touchy, feely" feel to it, I felt more empathy towards Bruce Banner then I did when Eric Bana played the role. I liked the fact they did not spend an hour developing the character. You got about 1 minute montage at the beginning of the movie that quickly showed you how Banner became the Hulk and why he was being hunted. The rest of the story is about Banner trying to control his anger, but eventually realizing he can use the Hulk's strength for good. There was much more Hulk in this film, which meant there was much more fighting and collateral damage that comes along with the Hulk getting into a fight. The Hulk still had that CGI look to him, but I guess there is still only so much that technology can do for a character like the Hulk. However, even then, he was still not as "cartoonish" as Ang Lee's Hulk. They made this one have more detail in the face and his muscles. I also like that this Hulk talked in the short "child like" sentences, such as "Hulk smash!". Liv Tyler was a much more Betty Ross. However, I liked Sam Elliot's portrayal of Gen. Ross over William Hurt. Even then, Hurt still did a good job himself and still did justice to the character. It may just be I like Sam Elliot in just about everything he plays. No hidden scene after the credits, so don't sit through them waiting on one. However, the last scene in the movie is pretty cool. Those of you that have seen Iron man will especially like it. Marvel seems to be doing a great job at producing their own movies, with Iron Man being the first and it looks like they are getting things set up for the Avengers movie. As always, look for the Stan Lee cameo. There is also a cameo by Lou Ferrigno and he was also credited as being the voice of the Hulk. They also had a few things in the movie that those of us that watched the old Incredible Hulk TV series will find familiar.

One more was the old shows music. Also, this movie ruled.
