Although he is a great player, we do not have a shortage of d-linemen and I am sure we are about to land a few more.

I wish him the best of luck! He will be sorely missed, but I don't blame him........ With the salary cap rule affecting rookies next year and the risk of injury I'd go too. He can always come back to Auburn and finish later!

Good luck Sen'Derick!!!!!!!!

Th Salary Cap deal is going to hit a lot of programs this season. South Carolina is losing several of their defensive standouts due to the jump.

I agree. Any junior that can go fairly high in the draft should go for it. They could wait a year and lose a ton-o-money due to the cap. Good luck Mr. Marks.

Yea, this is definitely the best decision for him. If he can go in the top 2 rounds, which I think he can, this is definitely a good decision. Hurts Auburn, but can't blame him.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says fears of a looming rookie wage scale are unfounded and collegiate underclassmen should not be misled into thinking such a system will be in place by 2010 as they weigh their decisions to forgo their eligibility to enter the NFL next year.

"There will be no change in our current [rookie pool] system, at least until 2011," Goodell told ESPN on Saturday. "I've explained that to some college head coaches, athletic directors and league commissioners. Any underclassman who is hearing differently is probably hearing it from an agent or from another source who is misinformed."

2011 will be the 1st year it occurs, imo

Absolutely true. And it makes Caddie and Ronnie that much more special.
