We will see, if Alabama's line has a problem performing the run blocking schemes with a new line up the Utes have a shot.

Without the run game the Utes speed will come into play on the passing downs. They will play a lot of man to man coverage and load the box and blitz a lot on passing downs. It all really depends on how the team adapts to the change so close to the game. They didn't get a ton of reps with this line up.

part of the problem in the Tulane game was we had to haphazardly put something together due to Smith out, then sliding this guy over to his spot, then sliding another guy over to cover that spot, then calling somebody up to replace the second guy that had been slid. it was a real mess and hadn't really been hashed out in practice. i don't think it will be a huge issue now, as they have had a cohesive backup plan for some time since then. don't get me wrong, losing Smith will hurt to some degree. i just don't think its going to be an epic disaster though. i think there is enough of a personnel mismatch between our OL and their DL to favor our running game.

Well, it appeared the bigger problem was uat's defense and their inability to tackle and defend utah's version of the spread. Got that great mismatch, unfortunately for you, it was uat that was grossly inferior. Again...
