They go 12-1 and make a BCS bowl and this play mysteriously appears at the Local Shakespear Festival.

Bear Country

Fri., Jan 09 to Sun., Feb 15

What if you had the opportunity to get up close and personal with legendary University of Alabama football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant? In ASF’s production of Bear Country—you can. Sit in the stands and absorb the wit, wisdom and life journey of a man who rose from being the child of dirt poor sharecroppers to become an Alabama icon and the national standard by which college football coaches are judged.

Really, the denial of the bear ball caps, protests that Auburn fans are the ones obssessed. This makes me laugh. I have heard tons of adds for Alabama History collections and video series. You really can't make this kinda stuff up.

I'm sorry, bama fans, but, "the national standard by which coaches are judged" is the most over the top statement I have heard in a long time.

I fully recognize his accomplishment, but he hasn't held the record in many years. Also, his legacy to the game is a bunch of coaches who have gotten their teams put on probation.

He won a bunch of games, but there are many caoches who have won a lot of games but handled them selves with much more class and dignity than Bryant.
