Bottomfeeder 244
Can this water be made drinkable? EPA: Rivers high in arsenic, heavy metals after sludge spill "The one exception may be arsenic," the agency said in a letter to an affected community. "One sample of river water out of many taken indicated concentrations that are very high and further investigations are in progress." http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/12/29/tennessee.sludge/index.html This is truly a disappointing mess. Personally, I thought the power companies would be capable of preventing such an event. With all of the tools at their disposal, this has to be embarrasing to say the least. Arsenic is some bad stuff. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/55077-how-do-they-clean-up-this-mess/ Share on other sites
AUBURNJAC 53
Yeah, I live in Nashville and it's been all over the news. Hopefully we'll get lot's of rain this winter and spring, and mother nature will take care of it quicker than expected. I'm with you on the power companies! I think they should be held super accountable for this mess! In no way, shape form or fashion should this of ever happened! Arsenic is a HORRIBLE thing to have in the water supply!
