Last year did any of you see the National Geographic special about the super volcano eruptions in Yellowstone? It seems things are heating up in that area.

All the hippie environmentalists need to hold a convention over there, preferably near the predicted ground zero, to let the volcano know that an eruption would be bad for the environment.

That's no joke dude. Yellowstone is a super volcano. I've heard that we're due for a small scale eruption, but even one of those would send ash all the way around the world and make life a living hell for most of the midwest for a while. We'd probably have much colder winters and noticeably diminished sunlight here in the Western Hemisphere for a year or so.

A big eruption would be a near catastrophe and I'm praying that one doesn't happen in mine or my children's, children's, children's, children's, children's, etc. lifetime.

Pretty much, if you hear about it happening on the news, take everything out of the bank and head to the nearby gold dealer to buy Kruggerrands. Then go to the grocery store and buy two months of canned goods (Go ahead and use a credit card, because the monetary system won't survive the shock, so you won't need to worry about paying it back). Then try to the Southern tip of Florida, such as Ft. Myers. Because most of the continental US will be a wasteland.

It would be due to global warming. A 0.000001 degC rise in temperature will warm the air near the surface, thus reducing its density. The air on top of the crater won't apply a sufficient enough force to hold all of it in, and its just gonna blow.

See? Global warming science really is that easy.
