or is Chizik to be HC/DC and just continue to hire position coaches (I'm just joking). He's doing a great job at hiring offensive coaches but I'm wondering what the heck we're going to do on the defensive side of the ball??? With recruiting starting up again, I was hoping all the major players in the coaching staff would be in place. Maybe by tonight that might happen but as of right now..hmmm.

I was thinking that he already hired someone but was waiting for after the bowl game or playoff game to announce it. But now that most teams are done it seems that he has just not found someone yet. I like the people he has brought on so far.

Why did you put your post count #, when you started the thread, in the title of the thread? Why did you respond to your own thread one hour later? Why did you not post this in one of the threads already talking about the potential new DC, like the other one you had already started on the subject?

Not trying to be a jerk, but really trying to figure out why we need to be starting new threads about the same subject. It make it much easier to keep the discussion about one topic limited to one thread as much as possible and it also keeps threads not about that subject from getting buried too quickly.

I often antagonize but I refuse to take responsibility for this one. If I may suggest a couple of new rules for the board:

1) Members are not allowed to start threads until they reach some minimum number of posts (e.g., 250)

2) New members are not allowed to post for one week after validation.

Other boards do this to prevent these types of situations and to get rid of some of the drive-by posters. Just a thought.
