Don't Forget the Game Tonight

According to a report I heard earlier he is going to coach Tulsa tonight. I have been looking forward to this game all week. This may be the first time I have ever watched Tulsa but I will watch.

Don't look now, but Tulsa has 24 points and 271 yds of offense in the first half. That's only 76 yds under what Ball State has averaged giving up for a full game this year.

yep...171 yard rushing, and 100 passing... and ZERO penalties the first half so far....looks good to me...:)

Okay, let us know when we can look. ;)

i was going to take a vacation day today to go over to Mobile to watch the game, but decided not to because of the weather. Tulsa isn't doing anything really out of the ordinary, however they seem to have an excellent senior QB who is firing on all cylinders. 3 Ball State turnovers aren't hurting things for Tulsa either. Tulsa's D came to play as well. both teams looked pretty even in the beginning, but Tulsa has begun to pull away.

heavy rain is coming through the area.....its about to get sloppy. i've been at and on that field numerous times and it is H O R R I B L E during a moderate shower, much less a downpour.

It is a turf field now isn't it? Sure looks like one. Think they replaced it a few years ago.

its artificial now, but it doesn't drain worth squat.

Mario Fannin, Ben Tate and Eric Smith have got to be loving this. Another TD for Tulsa. 45 pts., 548 yds of offense, 355 of it on the ground.

I hope it gets Trent Richardson's attention, too.

What jumps out at me with Tulsa's version of the spread is that they take full advantage of the defense spread out, by running a number of different plays to get the running backs out in space, to break the big plays. Well, maybe Florida does this too on a lesser scale with Harvin out of the backfield. So many of the other spread teams just seem to run the inside read option, like Tony was doing with us last year.
