Biggest Draft Flops

Ok, I'm sitting here bored, and was thinking about the Titans. I was thinking about how much he got paid in the NFL, and how as of yet has been a flop for the most part.

However, there are others that I can think of recently. Add to the list, and where they attended college.

Vince Young: University of Texas..... Tennessee Titans

Matt Lionhart: University of Southern California........Arizona Cardinals

Jamarcus Russel: Louisiana State University..........Oakland Raiders

I can't think of many bigger flops than.....

Ryan Leaf: Washingston State......San Diego Chargers

Tony Madarich is second only to Ryan Leaf.

What's interesting about Madarich is that the top five of the 1989 draft looked like this: 1. Troy Aikman Dallas 2. Tony Mandarich G.B. 3. Barry Sanders Detroit 4. Derrick Thomas KC 5. Deon Sanders Atlanta. Talk about a terrible pick!

Robert Johnson...oh wait

And how did we forget Michael Vick?

I don't really consider Vick a bust. To me, a bust equals that the team was wrong about the players ability to perform at the next level. Vick, while not Peyton Manning, got his team into the NFC Championship. He wasn't going to be a world beater, but the pick of him was solid.

Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington, Andre Ware, Lawrence Phillips

further down the list, but you can add Ricky Williams,

Ricky Williams was very productive until his retirement to do experimental weed. He is a flop now but not when drafted.

Another flop: QB Eric Crouch, 2001 Heisman winner out of Nebraska. Drafted by the Rams as a WR, took one big hit in practice and never saw the field in an actual game. Currently in the "Where are they now" category.

Weinke actually was a little productive for a while with the Panthers.

Weinke was a selected in the 4th round. Never was really productive but was a starter his first year. His only season as a starter the Panthers were 1-15.
