Do they think he knows any thing about 4-5 star recruits? :poke:

Jason Campbell, Carnell Williams, Tim Hawthorne, Mike McNeil, Kodi Burns, Lee Ziemba, Ryan Pugh, Josh Bynes, the list of Tuberville's 4-5* recruits is endless. :poke: back atcha!

The only five-stars I remember in his 10 years were Obamanu, B. Jacobs, Blackmon, Greg Smith, and Raven Gray. And I see 1 productive player in that list. (Note: I don't recall what Caddy's and J Cam's ratings were but I do remember they were pretty heavily recruited). Nevertheless, xCTT was much more known for "finding diamonds" and those 2-3 star players are not usually the ones who are showcased on ESPN's signing day special. Regardless, it was all meant in good humor - sort of.

Its not as long as most top tier coaches...I'm excited that our recruiting is going to be such an intense focus of our program going forward.

Out of interest's sake, I years in the heart of the Tuberville era (05, 06, 07). We got letters of intent from 36 4/5 star players. I think that list is pretty dang high regardless of what "tier" you are in coaching.

Note: that list doesn't include some of the more productive players on the field over the past 3 years: Marks, Powers, Coleman, McFadden, Dunn, Wilhite, Etheridge, Isom, Clayton, Blanc, Carter, Shoemaker, or Byrum... none of them were 4/5 star players. I'll be particularly interested in listening to the insight of a guy that was one of the 10 best coaches in America before losing his job.

Well, it looks like Tubs has come out of hiding. I haven't seen or heard a word from him since the whole debacle. I thought he was still skiing in Aspen.

i got an e-mail from him, so i knew he was still alive.

I heard him talking during that UA game a few weeks back and it was great because he was blunt and to the point with what he was talking about. I thought it was excellent of him to do that. He obviously knows what he is talking about while everyone else at ESPN has their heads up their asses

I thought the same thing. His commentary is/will be much better than the cast of clowns that will be surrounding him at ESPN.

As recently as last week he still signs his autographs "War Eagle"

that's strange...he signed the e-mail he sent me with Gig em Aggies. B)

SL02,

Though I always appreciate the comments you bring to this board, I have to admit, I always enjoy the videos you tag to your posts. :)

The one with the guy washing the blood off his car may be laugh my rear off!

I got quite a giggle when he was selling Bryan hot dogs and Golden Flake chips during the televised basketball games AFTER he "was quitted" as coach.

We should all know better than that. He has been duck hunting. He cannot break that tradition. :poke:

What the hell does "was quitted" mean?

Sort of like "was retired" as a play on words. Maybe.

I actually felt bad posting it since I had it as my sig for a little while a few months ago. My first repeat.
