AUdrew1 3
tuberville speaks! On what he'll be doing with his life: ``I'm too young to retire," Tuberville said. ``I can't play golf for the rest of my life. I've got to do something and earn a living. Coaching is what I know." AUslug 1
I had a feeling that Tubby wouldn't stay out of coaching, I wonder where he might land. Maybe ACC or Big 12 country. Proud Tiger 4,261
Good for Jay Tate. It's nice to see someone making an effort to talk to Tubs. I guarantee you Tubs won't use his ESPN gig to throw and spears at Auburn. mcgufcm 4,109
I just hope Tubs doesn't end up back in the SEC. He's as good as anyone in the country, and I don't want another team with an elite level coach. Personally, I think he'll end up in college again. He's too gifted at recruiting and shaping young guys into better people. The NFL has no place for either of those gifts. AU Cav 0
There were some rumors around here that he was being looked at for the Tampa job. Tubs always seemed kinda awkward in public. It doesn't seem to me that TV is his future. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/55849-tuberville-speaks/#findComment-577502 Share on other sites

I wish my Bills would fire Jauron and hire CTT we can't get much worse I mean we give 3 year contract extensions to a guy who has never won more than 7 games in 3 seasons with the bills what is worse is we started 5-1 and ended 7-9 Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/55849-tuberville-speaks/#findComment-577523 Share on other sites

I hope he ends up in Miami and turns that program around. I think I'd prefer to see him at Texas A&M. ...a little further removed from Auburn's recruiting territory (although our new staff seems to be making some inroads into Texas.) Also, I just don't like Miami and wouldn't wish that hell hole on a nice guy like Tommy ("Hell hole" being just my personal opinion--no disrespect to those of you who feel differently asbout the U). CTT seems more like a country boy than a big city/South Beach sort of guy, and who wants to raise kids in Miami? I know Tuberville has spent quite a few years down there, however. Finally, I respect the Big 12 a little more than the ACC, at least in football. I hope he ends up in Miami and turns that program around. I think Randy Shannon has the U back on track. They were very young team last year. Just unfortunate that Patrick Nix didn't work out, but someone's head had to roll after the poor offensive performances. They will be pretty good next year given the right OC. vatz22au 160
What's not to say he wouldn't rather be a defensive coord. somewhere? Lord knows he's got all the money he needs currently (although it seems that's not his main theme there) and he might be happier coaching at that position than the highs and lows of being a head coach. aucanucktiger 2,016
CTT would be a perfect fit @ his alma mater, Arkansas St. Back in coaching but w/ out the SEC time demands. I would LOVE to see him go to Tampa. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/55849-tuberville-speaks/#findComment-577643 Share on other sites
