bird36 5
I was listening to Paul Johnson on the radio and he said that it was a disgrace that a team signed 37 players today. He did not mention the team but I later saw it was Ole Miss. What are they going to do. I am not familiar with their mindset or strategy. Did they get several guys that they were not planning on or are several guys sign and place or know non-qualifiers. I hope they are not in the place where they have to pull some offers at this time. If anyone is familiar with their situation please let me know. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/56118-ole-miss-signed-37/ Share on other sites
metafour 5,777
They took a TON of guys who aren't expected to qualify. I have no idea why they signed that many, if they do get some surprise last second qualifiers they are screwed. aubiescottie 1
exactly why I had zero interest in Nutt being our HC. I know Tubberville worked the numbers...but 37? Thats just not the image I want for my program. Over the course of the next few days, they are going to get criticized for that. AU Cav 0
It almost felt like Ole Miss was doing its best to shag recruits that we're looking at SEC foes just to keep them off opposing rosters. How many guys did they poach from us, and how many more did they try? They went after TN late. Hopefully this will be a nightmare for Ole Miss and works against them later, but hopefully none of these kids get hurt by this. Honestly, if Ole Miss can't give you a scholarship, you're looking around for a school who didn't have the class they wanted and have spares... not exactly a choice decision. AUloggerhead 3,161
Hell, Miss St. signed 9 WR's. Some are going to prove that they can't catch the ball at the next level on a consistent basis. What do you do with a WR recruit that can run fast but can't catch? ... You put 'em on defense and call 'em defensive backs. SouthLink02 8
Even though they over-signed by 12 players....I mean, does that guarantee that their 2010 class is already HALF FULL?
