autigeremt 7,551
35 mile range. That's not going to get you very far, but it's a start I guess. If the batteries will last long enough, and you live pretty close to your job, it could be a great investment. TitanTiger 22,262
I'm on board with everything except the top speed of 25 mph. That's more or less restricting you to residential neighborhoods. I drive 2 minutes in either direction out of my neighborhood and I'm on a 35-40 mph stretch. Another 3 minutes and it's a 50-55 mph stretch. You've got to be able to at least do 45-50 for that thing to really be practical for light commuting and short drives. A 35 mile range really isn't bad for the driving most people do. It is very likely that the Zenn might just be a glimpse into the future of transportation. http://www.greencarcongress.com/2008/05/report-gm-wants.html $30K Volt“GM has a very clear goal: We want to bring the Volt to market in 2010 at a price of less than 30,000 US dollars,†said GM CEO Rick Wagnoner to the Frnakfurther Allgemeine Zeitung. http://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/tes...y-car-5344.html $50-60K Tesla SedanSpeaking at the Tesla dealership in Menlo Park, Calif., company CEO Elon Musk revealed that its all-electric passenger sedan, the Model S, will be priced at $57,499. The government will offer a $7,500 tax credit to bring the price to $49,999. $30K Tesla=Benz??? Wow, that could be something else!Meanwhile, Tesla is definitely partnering with a third-party company to release a cheaper car. A third-party company " ;will make available" an all-electric car based on Tesla's technology that will be "comfortably below $30,000," he said. No word on the manufacturer yet, although it is said to be Daimler Benz; nor is there word on a release date. The ZENN maybe nothing more than a perfected golf cart but is at least affordable tho somewhat limited in speed & range FOR NOW. autigeremt 7,551
That's the largest hurdle early on. I'd like to see a small pickup model. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/56360-15k-zenn-electric-car/#findComment-582026 Share on other sites
