PChamp119 96
Nothing will come about it. Only Lane Kiffin could save the day, but even he won't touch Saban. And I'm SURE (dripping sarcasm here) the Mobile fishwrap wouldn't cover up for Saban now would they. Let's face it, Jack, they don't call it "the Saban rule " for nothing. OldNewby 27
Example of how a Bammer thinks: Saban knows the rules better than anyone, and he obeys them. Where the rules are grey, he is very smart in exploiting the leeway that allows. More than once already, we have seen the NCAA change the rules to address some areas that are grey.. But what they haven't done is to punish him or hit him with any violations, because he always does everything within the rules. If they aren't very good at writing the rules, that's their problem, and that's why they change them when they feel they need to.Bottom line is - you write the rules, I just play with in them and take advantage of them as written. We all do it with traffic laws, tax laws, etc. It's not against the law to run a yellow light. It's not against the law to start a home business and show a loss, etc., etc. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/56404-from-the-memphis-commercial-appeal/#findComment-582512 Share on other sites

WAR-MATT 2
here's another accidental bump..... Scout "They came and got me out of class and said that Coach Saban wanted to talk to me," said Harrison Jones. "Coach Saban said the whole staff had watched my film, and they were very impressed with me." "He said I had good size, speed and great hands. He told me not to make a decision based on Barrett [Jones] being there because they didn’t let that influence their decision about me." "He offered me a scholarship and told me they really wanted me to be part of the team. I told him thank you so much for giving me such a great opportunity. I am planning to visit Alabama for Junior Day." Will this crap ever catch up to him? It's not that these are huge infractions, but they surely seem to be willful violations of a rules that are held in trust. This is a link to some of the rules that determine contact prior to senior year. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FI...74/ai_n17209237 Do we need Spurrier to get pissed again? Tell me it ain't so, I never cease to be amazed.
