Auburn in Lead for Oku?

There was an article on Rivals today that mentioned that Auburn may be the team to beat for the No. 1 all purpose RB in the country, David Oku. Oku orginally committed to Tenn, but it seems they have fallen out of Oku's favor because they hosted RB Bryce Brown for an official visit the other week. The article says that rumors indicate Oku is now favoring Auburn as his school of choice, with Syracuse and Ole Miss possibly still in the picture.

I hope this is true, it would be a tremedous recruiting victory for the new staff and a great addition to the team. War Eagle!!

I hate to look at it this way but Rivals won't say that Oku will choose Auburn because he wants to, he will go to Auburn because he is mad at UT. I hope everyone else here sees the distinction. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but whatever Rivals says, I take it with a grain of salt.

That's what I felt about DeAngelo Benton. The guy signed with LSU twice for Pete's sake. I believe either he didn't want to compete with the other studs they signed, or LSU told him they didn't want him in order to get Rueben Randle.

the No. 1 all purpose RB in the country, David Oku.

If he chooses Auburn, maybe it is because he really likes Auburn and its coaches. Maybe an all purpose running back can see himself excelling in a Gus Malzahn offense.

And maybe, Oku prefers to play football for a real man instead of a cry baby.

Don't think this is the case, otherwise Oku would be looking at playing for Mike Gundy -- he's a MAN, he's FORTY-TWO!

Not MAN enough to keep Gene Chizik from grabbing two of his top assistants.

Here's how it went down.

Chizik: Hey Mike! I'm taking these two back to Auburn with me. OK?

Gundy: Anything you say, Coach, er, I mean Mr. Chizik.
