StatTiger 3,188
For the majority of the season, Auburn played it's best defense during the second half. Just to show how much better they performed in the second half, here is how Auburn would have been ranked nationally in defense if we doubled the production of the second half... Total defense: Auburn finished the season at No. 60 in total defense. Auburn's second half defense would have been No. 14 with 310.0 YPG. Scoring Defense: Auburn finished the season at No. 53 in scoring defense. Auburn's second half defense would have been No. 11 with 17.9 PPG. Run-Defense: Auburn finished the season at No. 9 in run-defense. The second half defense would have been No. 7 with 101.6 YPG. Pass-efficiency Defense: Auburn was No. 76 in PE Defense. The second half defense would have been No. 25 with a rating of 115.3. Tackles for loss: Auburn finished at No. 16 in tackles for loss. The second half defense would have been No. 8 with 7.43 tackles for loss per game.

aucanucktiger 1,850
I'm thinking ted's 2d year of SEC on the job training will show benefits w/ much more opponent-customized plans going into each game next year. although actually I don't have a problem w/ his game PLANS. teaching & enforcing fundamentals would be nice. he'll have recruited so much D talent since coming here that maybe those players got enough fundamentals in h.s. maybe

If I had a nickel for every missed tackle this year, I could pay off my truck and house. If we could get back to basics for a week, I think our defense would double its production.
