Super Excited

So, all I hear from everyone is how Auburn is gonna go 4-7 or 7-5 or whatever next year. I have NEVER seen a fan base so obsessed with another as I see the bammers right now. The are literally infatuated with us and our success, and so all they can do is bash us and have "count downs" to when we are stripped of our title, ect... I really just want to take their pictures and start a website called "sore loser crybabies.com". They try and try to take this away from us, but will NEVER EVER take this away from the Auburn Family no matter how hard they try............

So..... sure, we lose 24 seniors, and yes, we lose Cam, Nick and nearly our entire offensive line. Am I going to miss what those guys gave us this year? Of course! Those guys will forever be entrenched in my mind and the minds of Auburn fans young and old.

Now, I want to say that I am SUPER EXCITED to have a "new team"!!!! No kidding! I am honestly looking forward to a new QB, a new beast up the middle on Defense, seeing what Michael Dyer can do, watching our recievers old and new run Malzahns offense. Watching our "maturing" Defense become what Roof and Chizik know they can be. In other words, I'm still "ALL IN", and I'm more excited than ever for Auburn Football!!!!! WAR EAGLE!

I'm with you on this and how bad can it be, we have had two top 5 recruiting classes in a row. Many of those guys will get their first chance in 2011.

And who will UAT have next year? They lose just as much as we do but they are picked as high as #2. That's ridiculous.

Don't give the pre-season polls any thought. Notre Dame and Michigan are ranked higher than us in some polls.

I am so glad I don't live in Alabama anymore and don't have to listen to their bull very often. I am super excited, too, mainly because our entire cocaching staff is returning for the 3rd straight year. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us! WDE!!!

You know that is pretty funny considering Auburn has NOT gotten a letter of inquiry from the NCAA during this whole thing, just remind Bama they got a letter of inquiry from the NCAA and got hit with the textbook scam, and they got another one 8-12 months after that one and there still hasn't been a resolution (to my knowledge) to whatever that inquiry was about, so as things stand now I would remind them that they have a much greater chance of having their title stripped than we do.

Let them talk trash if they want to, that's just more fuel for the fire to win that the team will have next season and will make another Iron Bowl victory even sweeter.

I'm sorry. I just don't see how Roll Tide Rev is a bama fan. You sir are the classiest bama fan I have ever seen... EVER. Maybe you are some weird computer bot because I'm not sure you really exist. :)

Who cares about polls, who's losing who, who's getting who yada yada yada. It will all work out on the field next season. For now you guys are #1 and deserve every bit of it! Enjoy it!

Thanks man! You have no idea how nice it is to hear that from a Bama fan. I live in Nashville, and the UT fans are just about as bad (some are worse believe it or not).

You need to change that avatar. You could make me a current one.

Ok I will admit something......NOT that I am an AU fan, but when I was a kid I had a best friend who was the biggest AU fan. All his family used to load up and go to the games and guess who went too? HEHE! :)

I also went to the Peach Bowl in 1990 and I think it was Stan White who ran the naked boot leg at the end of the game to win. Pretty exciting. My friend is still as BIG AU fan as you can get. His grandfather used to love AU but passed away several years ago. He used to go to all the games too. When AU won I couldn't help but think about him and how he would have loved to have seen it. He did see the first one though. :)

This thread is not about me but I appreciate the sentiments. I used to be that "FAN" but I realize that their are much more important things in life then trying to make someone else feel bad about their team. Be the opposite, make them feel good. I think if most BAMA fans were honest they would say that you all had a heck of a team this year and deserved to win it all.

As far as my avatar goes, this one is ours!!!! LOL! You have your own!! :moon:

I mean I can understand how irritating it is for people to be predicting your team to be a below 500 team next season. I wouldn't go so far as saying its mostly the "bammers" claiming this, but at the same time I don't think you can already make the assumption that it will be a smooth reload next year. How many starters are coming back for Auburn compared to Alabama? I'm not trying to be sarcastic but Alabama had the same attitude last year when we lost some good guys on the o-line and on defense and many expected it to be a smooth transition, and guess what...we were disappointed. Not only that but Auburn does lose a measurable amount of production on offense and defense for next year (more than Alabama lost after 2009...I'm not sure?) Most Alabama fans should be able to tell you that talent does not always give you the win especially with a lack of experience and that could potentially be how it plays out for Auburn next year. I'm not predicting a subpar season for Auburn though. My guess is that Auburn loses 3-4 games and gets to the capital one bowl, I would not be surprised to see Auburn go 11-2 or 9-4 though. For Alabama I see ourselves in the position we were in after 2008. We lost a few guys including our starting rb and qb, but top recruiting classes and great coaching helped us overcome some imperfection and run the table. I do think we have a chance to run the table that doesn't mean it will happen. You never know how things will play out and you will always need some luck to win it all. At this point in time it is only speculation but anything can really happen. I think it's silly to worry about what others think because they may very well be wrong, but you should always be able to take away from what someone say's even if you don't agree because Auburn may not be amazing next season due to lack of experience, but we will just have to see. The key is in the trenches if the new guys can get in and be productive then you will have a great chance of success (Alabama's achilles heal this season) Regardless it should be another great season and I cannot wait!

Gee, I thought I was going to have to be the one to piss on this love fest. Roll Tide in Reverse is extremely obnoxious after the turds win an Iron Bowl. I guess he's one of those dogs that cuddles up to the master after he gets a whuppin'.

What do I have to gain by "pretending" to be nice?

I have been a jerk in the past and I am the first to admit it if you look back. By jerk I mean, yes I have said things in retaliation to my team just like many of you would do. But what can I say but what I already did. There will always be those who will never choose to forgive. I understand that. All of you who know me now for who I am, this is me. I looked back over the year and I was a good boy about 99% of the time!

BTW I was very respectful prior to being beaten by you guys in the Iron Bowl. I had a heart change that only God can bring someone.

Dyer was the Offensive Player of the Game for you guys IMO. I see him tearing it up next year if the O-Line can get him some blocks. And anybody forecasting a 5-7 finish next year for you guys is a straight lunatic. Has there ever been a BCS team that WON a national title only to not go bowling the next year?

I actually have to speak up for Rev here. Yeah, he used to be a tool but has honestly been different recently. He has been the same way towards Auburn on the Bama boards as he has been here of late. He has been nothing but complimentary and has even defended AU a time or two on RTB. He's still a Bammer but he's one of the good ones. Well, now he is anyway!
