Our next clutch WR?

If, in fact, Darvin is gone, who will step up? I know we hate to see him go, but before he stepped up last year, most of us didn't likely expect that much out of him. A 3 star WR on Scout with a 40 listed at 4.68, he showed far more than his measurables would indicate. So who will the go to guy be next year?

Sammie Coates is going to be a big-time receiver. He needs to add some strength and weight. I expect continued great things from Emory Blake and Shawn Kitchens has great size. Jaylon Denson may be a surprise and Quan Bray has versatility.

Blake is the new "go to" guy, but he's not the downfield threat Adams was. Blake is a playmaker, but he hasn't shown the ability to stretch the field yet. He may. He just hasn't to this point. The WR corp is going to look very, very different. We're now replacing 3 of our top 4 options (Adams, Zachery, and Burns). I'm guessing Reed becomes a big key now. Kitchens seems like a Zachery type player with good size. Just adds more intrigue to the offense for next year. Malzahn's going to have to earn his money. Lots of work to do.

I do expect big, big things from Blake. He's shown a ton of ability after the catch. Sharper route running is going to be key for him next year. That will help him create more space pre-catch.
