Just out of curiosity

Does there exist a picture of all the living Tigers in one shot? Has there been an official "homecoming" of everybody who ever wore the uniform?

If not, how close have they come to all being together in one place at one time? When did it happen?

Does anybody have an official head count of the guys who turned up at the BCSCG? I've heard some names but would really like to know who all made it. It would be terrific if they all got in a picture, too.

The prize from the Heisman festivities was that picture of 7, 34 and 2 all touching the statue. It would be great to have everybody who ever played for Auburn in a picture with the guys who played this game.

Other than those y'all mention, I've heard what I take to be reliable reports on:

Cadillac

Ronnie

and I'm not sure about Carlos/Karlos (hopefully both)

Others I can't be sure about

Karlos Dansby did a Q&A and was doing the picture/autograph thing at the Upper Deck Sports Bar in Scottsdale on Monday afternoon. I think there were a couple of other ex-players there with him, but I wasn't inside for most of it so I'm not sure who. I got his autograph on my (empty) ticket lanyard and a picture taken with him.

Brandon Jacobs showed up at the band party at Upper Deck on Sunday night while TWill was rapping "Tiger Walk". Jacobs talked trash about Tubbs. I thought it was a bitch move. Why try to rain on the parade?

Kenny Irons was about four rows up from Brandon Jacobs, and I got a picture of Kenny with our kids who have graduated from/about to graduate from Dacula High School where the Irons brothers played high school football.

My uncle was a former walk-on for Auburn. He was at the game....in the upper deck.

Thanks for that reply. Your uncle is the very type player I'm curious about. Do you know how often he gets together with other former players in anything like "official activities"? Has he been to any "Players Homecoming" things?

I can see how current NFL players might have timing issues getting to the Glendale game if they were in preparation for games of their own, but I would like to hope the others had both the opportunity and the desire to be in on the excitement.

Reunions affect people in different ways, for sure. I have yet to attend any of my high school or college reunions. So I can imagine not all former players see such things as special occasions. Still, seeing a group photo of all those guys would be special -- at least to me.

Well...I know that William Andrews, Ed King, and several others get together every year for a reunion before the UGA or Alabama game down below the parking deck at the Library. I've tailgated with them and it was a blast.

Cool! How big a group of players at such evernts do you know about?

I would think the former players come back for formal team reunions, like the 2004 undefeated team, or the '83 Pat Dye team, or the '57 National Champs, or the '79 Barfield Tigers. Sometimes a whole team or group is honered at half time at some home games. Otherwise, it would be about 22 guys per year for the past so many years. You're talking about probably over 1000 plus players still living, not even counting all walk-ons or scout team members.

jw 4 au, that's some good points! Maybe we could expand the scope of this thread to answer a few trivia questions:

1) Who is the oldest living AU football player?

2) How many players who wore the jersey as a player on the field at at least one game are still living?

3) How big a venue would have to be booked to accommodate all of them?

4) add a question

I know that the do have reunions for certain years, and typically the players get to come back and walk across the field. I've seen my uncle do this several times during my time at Auburn. But I can't really tell you much more than that.

They mostly get together in the Letterman’s Lounge before the game and at halftime. They also even feature a member at halftime. The club president will say a few words about him and then he’ll say a few words.

As best I could tell, the streaming coverage wasn't able to get any good shots of the section were the former players were located for the Celebration. At least two sections, right?

Did anybody get any group shots (or close ups) of the former players that could be shared here? Names? Rough guess at how many there were?

It was hard to tell much about the guys bringing the trophies in, too.
