RunInRed 18,235
Any one else love this shirt? With Auburn’s victory, the SEC has won five straight BCS Championships, by four different teams. There has never been a stretch of five straight AP or BCS national championships won by the same conference before in college football. How does this compare across all sports? The most comparable sport we can use, obviously, is college basketball. Consider this: what the SEC has done over the last five years -- in terms of different teams from the same league winning five or more straight titles -- has NEVER been done before in college basketball. http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/15639/sec-enjoying-rare-league-dominance Shameless Plug: If you want the shirt pictured above, it can be found in the AUFAMILY fan store (which of course, supports this site), link below...
AURaptor 1,137
You'll never catch me wearing any item promoting another SEC team's achievements. Though I will take a look see at the other stuff.....
AUloggerhead 2,509
Meh ... I don't think I'll ever buy one. The streak is nice but no streak ever helped a team win a ball game. Besides, it's got uat on it. If I'm going to pay for something to wear it's going to show my allegiance to AU, and not to the conference.
RunInRed 18,235
I ordered one. What can I say other than I guess my SEC pride overcomes my disdain for UAT, etc. A dominant conference does nothing but good things for AU, IMO.
AURaptor 1,137
I once bought a Big 10 T-shirt, back in the early 90's, when I went to Ann Arbor.
