The link is to a Jan. 20 article by Fred Barnes (I first saw it on Auburn Undercover). Most of you know who he is but for those who don't.......he is Executive Editor of The Weekly Standard and a regular contributor/panelist on Fox News. His son attended Auburn and Fred was a frequent attendee at Auburn games.

His son was my roommate freshman year! Real nice kid. I only met his father once when he moved in but the entire family was very gracious.

A reasoned and accurate view of things (war eagle notwithstanding) and something non-Southerners could learn from if they'd turn loose of the arrogance and unfounded "superiority."

Recent evidence that the South is gaining at the expense of other areas is just another factor in the winning ways (and not just in football) exhibited here. If only the media and entertainment industry could drop the 50's stereotypes and wake up to real life, things might move more quickly. But keeping the South a secret is becoming harder and harder to do. The price we must pay, I suppose.
