I will be honest not sure how I missed this but it came up in conversation with a friend of mine so had to look it up, apparently Mises is the center for economic theory for the world right now and economists and countries are flying in from every part of the globe to attend sessions and have Think Tank discussion.

One reason as I understand it and paraphrase; their theories deal with less government involvement and to allow the markets to fix themselves.
