Sports Talk Radio Online where Auburn gets a fair shake

The thread on Sports Call (which I will try to listen to soon) makes me wonder if there are any shows that stream their content and where Auburn (and callers who are legitimate fans) doesn't get treated like some hillbilly trade school with an inferior team.

This is a bit of an aside, but I've been listening to Petros and Money on 97.7 in Huntsville in the evenings. It's a pretty entertaining show and those guys crack me up. I think they cater to a younger generation and have a blend of music, entertainment, and mostly sports. It has more of a California flair as Petros played at USC, but they do national coverage.

Is that show streamed?

The best Auburn show I have heard is Inside the Auburn Tigers Radio on WANI1400.com.

They have Jason Caldwell, Mark Murphy from Inside the Auburn Tigers and AUTIGERS.Com along with Brad Law.

These guys do a wonderful job. They attend practices, press conferences. They know the players and coaches. They know the depth charts.

I know there are some that like Springer radio (ie slimebaum). I dont. I want well reasonsed in depth insight and knowledge.

Why does this perspective recruit have a better future as a DB then a WR. Why does Ted Roof not play a press man instead relies upon a zone. You get none of this on other shows. Auburn sucks Alabama rules lets take your calls. Nice format.

Also they have wonderful guests. They had Heath Evans on this past week. They get a lot of great great guests.

Best show in the state in my opinion.

Slimebaum can claim to be the "souths most credible sports show" or whatever crap he opens with but he really know jack @hit. He proabably could not name more then five players on Alabama or Auburn's two deep.

It's an oasis of sanity. Of course, it lacks in the area of phony callers ,comedic bits and the like, but that's a small price to pay, imo.

Thanks, AURaptor and AUgrad00, I have listened to their show before and agree that it's the best I have heard for inside Auburn info.

I'm just wondering if there are other shows (with earlier time slots) that give Auburn respectful coverage.

And it does appear that www.petrosandmoney.com can be heard online.

I have caught http://www.1045thezone.com/ for Mrs. Grissom's 3 Hour Lunch, Weekdays from 12p-3p but Auburn rarely gets much mention.

Cole Cubelic has a show on 97.7 in HSV. I only listened once a few days before the big game, and he was interviewing a bunch of former AU players.

Sports Call is hands down the best, in my opinion. I tried ITAT Radio, but - no offense to anyone - I found it boring and dry. I really enjoyed Sports Call when Stump was on there. He had a good perspective on things, and he was full of stories.

I like SportsCall, but then I've never tried any other. It has definite Auburn slant, with assistant coaches and Auburn coaches of sports other than football on from time to time. They are polite to the few bammers that call in, but there aren't many of those.

They are not "fair and balanced", they are Orange and Blue and that's how I like it. Phillip Marshall is a regular Thursday guest and at this time of year they have one recruiting guru or another on every Monday. 93.9 FM in the East Alabama area, from 4 to 6 PM.

There's a new web address to listen online, check the other thread for that.

Thanks. I'm definitely going to give http://www.sportscallauburn.com/radio/ a shot today and I'm all for an Auburn slant to things.

Cubelic's show is on in the morning (if http://977thezone.com/cubelic.php is still accurate) and that's a good alternative to JOX at that time. The only JOX show I can tolerate is the 10-2 show which tries to be equally supportive to both schools. However, if there's a rival to that time slot I would give it a try, too.

Are there any Montgomery or Mobile shows with an Auburn bias that stream their content?

Thanks for all the input so far!

My wife and I listen to Sports Call everyday. It comes on from 4 PM = 6 PM CST and 5 PM - 7 PM EST. They pretty much talk AU football all year long. Bill Cameron is an amazing host. I would definitely check it out. I haven't heard of Inside the Auburn Tigers radio show ... what time does this air?

Sadly it's on at that same time slot, but they do have archives that are available for several days after the fact. Look at http://wani1400.com/ITAT/'>http://wani1400.com/ITAT/ or http://wani1400.com/ or http://wani1400.com/ITAT/'>http://wani1400.com/ITAT/ListenLive.aspx

The times I have listened have been informative when they have guests but I tend to agree with bigsixfive above. Just caught my first show on Sports Call today and it is much more exciting even without crazy callers and such.

I've become so annoyed with Legend and Shane and Jim From Crestwood and having to turn the volume down whenever they're on that I have decided not to tune in any more for the rare good guest on "the show that shall not be mentioned." The "Auburn fans" on that show are pitiful and just there for the mockery. Sad. The one good thing I can say about the past few months there is that Cam was given a decent break and support. Uncharacteristic view of Auburn for a few months. But now it's back to normal and a "piss on Auburn" mentality.

On a related note, does anyone know of any good Auburn-related podcasts? As someone who no longer lives in the state of Alabama (in fact, I live about 15 minutes from the University of Arkansas campus....), I would love to find a good AU podcast to listen to on my drives to and from work. The All-Razorback-All-The-Time talk I get in this area is entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way, but I can only take so much of it. Any suggestions for an AU-related podcast that is updated on a somewhat consistent basis?

I just had to drop back in to thank everybody who recommended Sports Call!

Great show! Sane broadcasting. Reasonable callers. Auburn discussed with objectivity and fairness. Just wish they had a longer air time since I could listen for hours.

For some reason it does not work all the time online. 2 options. Click the play pause button a few times to get it to work or close and reopen the listen live link. Both work for me.

They bad mouthed AU as cheaters during our NC run in 2010. I stopped listening to that show after that. Petros is annoying anyway.
