The singer from Hightide Blues (band from Auburn but now in Nashville) is on American Idol tonight... He went to school at AU, quit to do music just two classes shy of graduation.

You'd probably have to pay the bill for the class for it to be official.

I would not quit 2 classes before graduation... that's so close! Even if it isn't what you really want to do, it just seems totally worth it to stick out two more classes. Or maybe not, I dunno.

I pondered that question, I had to have a C in a class my last semester and I was offered a good job before graduation. It worked out that I graduated and got the job, but I would have probably stuck it out one more semester to get my diploma and just work a BS job if it had not came thru. I don't agree with that terminology, if you get the paper then you are an alumnus.
