Big Recruiting Weekend

Duder

Recommended Posts

Cyrus, Fanning, Wright, Richardson and Reeves all visiting AU this weekend. Pulling Fanning from Bama would be nice. If we pull Cyrus we are golden.

Just left my ENT doc's office. He's an Auburn grad and generally has solid info. He has been told Cyrus is pretty high on the good guys. Take it for what it's worth.

We still pull Wright, Florence and Cyrus in my opinion. Fanning looks promising also. We will have more than 25 commits in my opinion.

Who's reporting the Fanning info? I haven't seen anything beyond message board chatter...

ETA - NM, I see where Scout is reporting it.

It's also worth noting, Fanning is likely a sign and place.

Unless Fanning has done a complete 180 degree turn with his life, I don't think we'll be offering him a scholarship.

Mikey, the kid has a tough situation at home. There is more to the story than their appears. We wouldn't host him if we weren't interested. He's not just a bad apple, there is more to it.

There always is "more to it". My knowledge is limited to what six or eight different people that had kids in class with him at Auburn HS were saying as far back as last summer. Is he even still attending school in Georgia? The last word I had was that he'd dropped out, but that was only hearsay.

I don't know why, but I get the sneaking feeling that Roberson is going to Lubbock. It just seems like EVERYONE is saying he's going to flip... that's usually when a guy shocks everyone by staying put. Love to have him, but I'm more hopeful for Florence and Wright.

Fanning is sign and place.

At the very best. I don't see why sign a S&P type when there's a 28 limit and oversigning has become a hot-button tropic. Looking back on the sign and place practice, it's about 50-50 whether you get them or not. Often you don't even want them 2 years later.

Tuberville got bashed for all the S&P guys, and that was back when there was no downside to it.
