What are you thoughts about who made the biggest single play of the season......I'm sure some of you will say Cam's heisman run against LSU, but my thoughts are around Zachary's catch against Clemson to take the lead and his catch for the TD against bama to open the second half.

Some that come to mind....

Blake's bumble screen run vs. MS St.

Cam's run and dive vs. USC

Washington's game ending pick vs. USC

Darvin's catch vs. UK on last drive.

Blanc's strip and Ethridge's fumble return for a TD vs. Arky.

Ethridge's int on the opening drives vs. LSU.

Cam's heisman run vs. LSU

McCalebds's TD run to win vs. LSU

Cam's pass to Darvin on 4th vs. bama.

Washington's kickoff return vs. Ole Miss

Coleman's strip vs. Bama

Darvin's hail-mary catch vs. USC in the SEC.

Definitely the strip in the Bama game.

That is a good one......I was at the Kentucky game and Kodi's catch was a classic but the game was not in the balance at that point.

Personal hindsight ranking based on magnitude:

1. Dyer's run against Oregon

2. Carter's strip against :ua:

3. McCalebb's run against :lsu:

Personal favorite play of the year that still fires me up: This 4th down conversion against :ua:

I can't get to 1. But here goes (in no particular order):

Ethridge's scoop n' score against Arkansas that started the 4th quarter scoring orgy

Dyer's run in the BCSNCG

Kodi's TD catch in the BCSNCG - just because he deserved it :au:

OMac busting 60 and score on the vaunted LSU defense

Fairley and co's goalline stand in the BCSNCG

AC stripping "Mr Heisman" at Bama

But as was stated above, we wouldn't have done it without every big play this year!! War Eagle, baby!!

This one won't make the biggest play list, but it meant the most to me. It was Kodi's TD catch in the NC game. It wasn't sexy, or flashy, he didn't have to avoid half of Oregon's team like Cam against LSU. But it was the perfect play, for the perfect player, in the perfect situation for 2010, and it made me well up inside with happiness for Kodi, an AUBURN man.

Actually, you know what? I can narrow my list down to one.

Oregon had one of the nations top rush offenses and got the ball first and goal inside the Auburn 5.

For four straight plays, they ran the ball straight at the much-maligned Auburn defense. Those guys knuckled down and played the best defense they have played all year and REFUSED to let Barner or Thomas into the endzone. That showed the nation that we weren't here to f%#! around...we were championship caliber.

So technically it was four plays but that was what made our championship season, IMO. :au:

edit - Of course, I played defensive end so defensive big plays get me all kinds of fired up...
