I heard the same thing, nothing official though. I fear they may be confusing yesterday's announcement time as it was also 11a, but we shall see.

I still think his parents made a knee jerk reaction and flipped out because they didn't come to Auburn with him. I don't believe the Bammers that say he "looked scared and will flip"; he said his heart told him Auburn. I do not believe he made that up on the fly. I thiink Cyrus sits down and talks with his parents, his parents talk with our coaches and the big guy ends up on The Plains next season. His NLOI may be put on hold until his parents actually visit if they have the financial means to do so--something to keep in mind.

Indeed, that MUST mean he was actually going to say Alabama. I don't care who tells me differently, he knew what he was doing yesterday. His high school coach gave an interview on Tuesday saying that he thought Cyrus was going to sign with Auburn based on conversations he had with him. Cyrus wants to come to Auburn. I just hope he doesn't get "Callowayed" into signing with Bama. Rivals or Scout had a video interview up yesterday. It was obvious, to me at least, Cyrus wants to go to Auburn but his dad wants him to go to Bama. The "vote" article did say that Cy's dad would let his son have the final say-so. By vote they seem to be just referencing a sit-down with the family and let everyone air their thoughts to make sure Cyrus is doing what he wants.

:headscratch:

But they are leaving the several (Gabe Wright comes to mind first) that said "The University of Auburn" alone? Maybe they are unsure and really meant UAT but those stupid Freudian slips got in the way... <_<

He's already announced once and another announcement won't matter until he signs his name on the line and his folks sign too. I wouldn't get worked up about an announcement.

My guess. If he has another press conference he's switching. If not, he will just fax it in. No point in re-announcing unless he wants to explain what happened, but he can do that after the fax goes through.

With the article that goldberg posted I am going to say that I hope CK goes to bama. He hasn't even called Auburn to explain what is going on.....however he HAS kept bama in the loop.

this has got to be the most pitiful display of parent control that I have seen this year. First PEACHES now this.

Go to bama CK. We have a great class and to be honest we will compete right along with bama and the sec and nations best. You will not make or break us.

Bill McGregor, his high school coach in Hyattsville, Md., told Rivals.com this morning that he told Kouandjio to call Auburn coaches to explain his position. The Rivals story later said sources said that "most of the Auburn offensive staff" talked to Kouandjio on Wednesday night.

Don't read too much into stuff that was written by someone who read something written by someone who was told something by someone not immediately involved in the situation. If anything, it sounds like the Rivals article served up the confusion on a platter by quoting the coach and then burying the fact he did talk to them later in the article.

When CK made his announcement, he mentioned that one of the reasons for AU was the friendships he made with the other players like Westerman and Dismukes. You would think these guys should be calling CK and talking to him.

I don't agree with you about CK going to UAT. I hope he goes to Auburn. He could be a great Auburn man!

What makes you think CK and the Auburn staff haven't been in contact? We can call him, too. Phone electrons aren't one-way. To think there has been no contact with Auburn and a bunch with UAT is absurd. Then there's this little remark to deal with: "The Rivals story later said sources said that "most of the Auburn offensive staff" talked to Kouandjio on Wednesday night."

This situation feels nothing like the Calloway deal. Chill out.

It's a dead period for contact, as in visits.

Got ya....this sounds to me as if he came to visit Auburn got swepted off his feet and wants too come but his family and possibly cyrus himself thought he would end up at alabama..so hopefully this whole situation will be sorted out soon

Supposedly cyrus' coach believes he'll stick with au.

Paraphrasing the latest Rivals article, the coach does indeed think that CK sticks with the good guys.
