This reminds me of the numerous videos on YouTube "proving" that 9/11 was an inside job and the government did it. 10 years later, a hand full of individuals are still convinced that THEY have found "proof" that 300 million of the rest of us are too dumb to see.

Any one else have the misfortune of knowing a Bammer who's all hung up on this stuff and just won't quit. I read one today who said John Bond had threatened to tell all if Cam didn't get in trouble from the NCAA. Really?? Shouldn't John Bond have "told all" when the NCAA was there asking questions?

My favorite--in terms of stupidity--is the rumor of secret payoffs through ATM cards.

Even a half witted criminal should know that every ATM transaction leaves a paper trail. And while I don't know how long they keep security camera footage, most if not all ATM machines have cameras photographing every customer and every transaction. Also, I'm pretty sure most banks now have their ATM accounts linked to VISA or Mastercard, beyond the reach of local bank officials even if they want to fudge the books. Perhaps Lowder wasn't the smartest guy in the world to let his bank fail, but I'm pretty sure even he has enough bank smarts to know that ATM cards are no way to hide secret cash transactions.
